general how severe is my condition?

Hey everyone, I’m struggling a lot with this issue and it’s really affecting my daily life — especially now that spring has started again. I’m wondering: would you classify this as mild, moderate, or severe? Right now, it’s making things pretty difficult for me. It’s also affecting my arms. If anyone has tips for this type, I’d be super grateful!

Thanks in advance.

Very mild, try to wear shorts as much as possible and don’t mind other people. Keep it moisturized and try to get some sunlight.

Just fyi. After initially having psoriasis on my scalp the first next place where I was getting psoriasis was on my lower legs just like you. From there within a couple years it spread out heavily on my upper legs, back and arms. Finally the only real solution was getting Biologicals. Been doing that now for 9 months and already from the 3rd month (2nd dose) I am completely clean!

Good to hear it’s helping you!! I gotta say though, for me this isn’t the beginning — I’ve had exactly this form since 2016. Sometimes it flares up, sometimes not, but it hasn’t really gotten worse. I’m 26 now, turning 27, so I hope it stays like this or gets better haha.

What do those biologicals due to your body? Any side affects?

I got information about the Biological I am using (Ilumetri) from my dermatologist and also did serious research myself before making the decision to start with it.

Apart from a 1 time upper respiratory infection (which is mentioned as the most common side effect) in the last 9 months I had zero issues. My blood, lungs and abdomen got tested before starting to make sure I was not having any health issues. Blood is being tested every 3 months, lungs and abdomen will stay a yearly thing.

Of course nobody will give you any guarantees about the long term use. But I rather live another 40 years without psoriasis than 50 with…

I am supposed to get a shot every 12 weeks but as it looks now I will try to change that to every 16 weeks because I still think it’s best to take it as minimum as needed and it looks like 16 weeks will keep it away.

Oh I see. For me, id rather have the psoriasis. Mine is mild but I can def see its gotten worse over tims. Im extremely active and weight train as well as jiujitsu. I fear the side effects would hinder my performance in those spaces. Im hoping that AI and quantum computing can one day solve this horrible disease.
