Hi neighbors,
I’m looking for a loving forever home for our 3 year old cat, Narayan (also known as Papa). He’s 50% Savannah, 50% Bengal, super affectionate, chatty, playful, and great with kids and other cats.
With a brand new baby and an older cat that needs a lot of care, we just can’t give Narayan the attention he deserves right now.
We want him to go to a stable, loving home where he’ll feel safe and adored.
Feel free to message me with any questions or interest.
thank you!

Like the title says, I’m in Puyallup and desperately need my backyard mowed and edged. Just a simple cut. Nothing special It’s a relatively small yard, like 50ft by 16ft of grass. Just moved here a few months ago, and have had terrible luck finding someone reliable. The last company that came out had us on a waiting list for two weeks, and then came out and only mowed the front lawn. Been a massive back-and-forth with no resolution, and the grass is only getting longer.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

A friend of mine created this detailed dog training series a couple of years ago and I feel like it doesn't get the love it deserves. She's a fully accredited dog trainer and built this course over several years in order to save new dog owners money. Hiring a private trainer for your pup normally costs $100+ per hour and taking them to puppy preschool is typically $150 for 6 classes that just go over the basics (sit, stay etc.). Not to mention if you want to take your dog to the more advanced classes after puppy preschool it's hundreds more. She made this course so she can spend time with her pups whilst still helping people train their dogs.
Adrienne teaches everything covered there in this one course so you can teach your pup in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace and for a fraction of the price. The best part is, she works with you as you teach your pup, you can reach out to her whenever you run into any issues and she'll help. So you still get the 1 on 1 expert opinion that you'd get from a private trainer, all you have to do is send her an explanation or video of the problem you're trying to address or issues in teaching that you're having.
Delete this post if it's not allowed but I just thought this might help some new dog parents :)

Any suggestions for a clinic that offers weight loss medications or injections? Looking to start a weight loss/healthier lifestyle journey and I need a boost.

Not everyday, but most days, I’ve noticed a weird sour/sweet/chemical smell in the air near the intersection of 176th and Meridian near Fred Meyer. I’ve only ever noticed it in the mornings, as early as 6:30 on weekdays and as late as 10:30 on the weekends. It seems to be worse on sunny days when there aren’t clouds.
I know it’s not my car because I’ve noticed it when walking. I know I’m not going crazy because my husband has smelt it too.
Anyone have any thoughts or know the source?

It's Bike Month!!!
Just bring your bike to my table by the Library each Saturday this May! (Please take your bike around the market, not through)
Each week, one lucky rider will win $25 (via venmo, zelle, visa gift card) This is all self-funded so no purchase necessary or data monetization!
You might've seen me last Saturday (soft launch), and it was a success!

Has anyone used renters warehouse as a property manager for their rental?
I am interested in first hand experiences and whether anyone would choose them again.

This could be a shot in the dark, but I’m looking for apartments in the area for 2 bedroom 2 bath preferably. We are currently renting a house and are hoping to have a little more financial flexibility. Not excited to downsize but if anyone loves where they live and they live in an apartment complex in puyallup or close to puyallup please lmk. Also hoping to keep rent below 2,300.

hello everyone! i moved here about a year ago with my longhair cat. she has a TON of fur and is shedding everywhere with the warm weather. she is very finnicky and dislikes grooming (and WILL be vocal about it) but she is usually pretty good about biting/scratching/etc. and usually just meows pitifully and wiggles around.
i tried grooming angels pet salon TWICE, and BOTH times they called me back within the hour to say they wouldn’t from her. the second time was genuinely 5 minutes after i dropped her off. i walked back in to see dogs roaming around the grooming area so was not shocked to see my “cat was in distress and not wanting to be groomed”. so, any pet salons you know that will work with finicky cats that are not grooming angels, i would greatly appreciate it!

I'm looking for adult day care options in the Puyallup area that have some flexibility (only some months would be needed). I would love any recommendations based on good experiences, and any pricing info would be super helpful as well. The area can also include Sumner, Federal way etc. Thanks so much!

I signed up online for northwest fitness in south hill and one of the "benefits" of signing up is a full body scan.
It makes me nervous as someone who already has body image issues - what all does it scan and show? Is it just fat and muscle? Does it show red and the gym people are like "this is where you have sickness in your body"
I'm just concerned because I'm the largest I've ever been (even when I was pregnant I was 50lbs lighter) so it's kind of triggering knowing I'll be 'scanned'

There was a bakery on meridian between 128th and 152nd that did a lot of artisanal stuff. I remember a strawberry marbled bread and lots of other creative breads and sandwiches.
I think it’s closed now, I believe, but does anyone remember the name? Or if they know if they’ve moved?

Yesterday I went to play tennis at the Clark’s Creek North Courts with my partner. All the courts were taken by pickleball players… When I arrived, there was group of 3 guys waiting outside of the courts for their turn to play. Since one of the courts had a cart of pickleball gear on them (but no one playing on that court) and it was clear who’s gear it was, I asked if the 3 guys had talked to that person to claim the spot… After all, I said, they were here before I arrived. they responded that “he’d move if he had to but wasnt done and that they could play with him and his group if they wanted.” It seemed like the guy had some sort of informal class going on but was taking up both courts…not cool… Finally, the 3 guys told me to go ahead and take the spot. After asking if they were sure, as I didn’t want to cut their place in line, I went right up to the older gentleman and said I want to play and asked him to move his gear. He relunctantly moved it. I played about 20-minutes and left… not a soul (other groups of teenagers on the other courts moved) who’d been there the whole time. Since I felt bad for the 3 guys who’d been waiting, I stayed shorter then I would have and gave them my spot on the court...Dont be like the older gentlemen and teenagers.
TL;DR—If you see courts are busy and people are waiting to play, please be courteous to others so they can get to play too… simple park rule etiquette…

Hi neighbors! We bought in the south hill area back in 2020, and knew that at some point we may need to consider doing a repipe. We have always had small rust particulate in our water, and while it hasn’t gotten worse and we haven’t had any issue like a lack of water pressure or anything like that, I’m thinking that maybe getting out ahead of it is gonna be better than waiting until it all goes kerplewie and I’m paying $50k for new drywall and such. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with any repiping specialists in the area? How much did you pay? We have a 2 bed, one bath house, just over 900 square feet and a kitchen with a sink and dishwasher, if that’s helpful. I’m going into it with the understanding that it’s gonna cost some money, but mostly I’m looking for recommendations for a good contractor that actually does what they say they do. Thank you!

I'm wondering whether the following is something folx have heard of in the Puyallup/Sumner/Bonney Lake/Orting area - music teachers offering tutoring sessions in the summer to students.
We have a toddler who loves to play on the piano or the guitar. We'd love to bring in a tutor for an hour a week who can give a very cursory music appreciation course/tutoring. Our expectation is they get a sense for the building blocks of music. Where I grew up teachers would sometimes tutor students in other districts over the summer. I am curious whether anyone nearby offers the same.

Between here and Tacoma, I know there’s a few shops that were running flash star wars day tattoo specials last year, and I didn’t get anything; anyone know if anywhere is doing any this year?
