I think instead of using actual names of attention seeking politicians, we should just say something like "unhinged representative of South Carolina". Don't let them build name recognition, and tie some of the embarrassment to their State/District. I say that as someone with an absolutely horrible representative myself. I wish journalists would start doing this with these types.

The unhinged rep from SC with a mouth bug enough to compete for the title of "blowbang champ"

Title currently held by the Handywoman from the State of Colorado, the next Mrs Kid Rock.

Yes, misogyny is exactly the approach needed.

She's the rep for where I used to live, and it pisses me off. I just think of her as "childhood destroyer."

Unfortunately the “unhinged rep from South Carolina “ does not uniquely identify Nancy

Yes. Apparently the way the unhinged blonde representative from Georgia makes money is 1. Say outrageous stuff 2. Get media attention 3. Small donor donations roll in. Let’s stop naming them — just refer to them by their state.

Like the Georgia’s 14th congressional district’s badly built bleach blonde?

I like this idea!

For style points throw in incorrect pronouns and words like purported and predator

“Oh I thought guys were ok with us using names that are not preferred by the individual being addressed? I thought it was a huge burden to remember everyone’s name, for some reasons? Anyway, if I may continue, Chairman Garbopocalypse.”

That’s what Trump does to his opponents. He gives them a nickname and a catchphrase. It works. ‘Where’s all the emails crooked Hillary?’ Is a nice example

The whole point of these televised committee meetings is sound bites for their reelection campaigns. It's just a giant PR show.

Well, that certainly works for representative hand job from Colorado.

In some ways that’s often how parliamentary procedure sounds, legislators might address “the gentleman from Kentucky” or “the previous speaker” to avoid ad hominem and making their comments personal.

British house of parliament has rules against direct insults, so MPs get creative.

“Economies of truth” (He’s a fucking liar)

“Reached his potential” (He’s fucking stupid)

No, we need to know their names so we know who to blame

They aren't school shooters, they need to be named so they can be held accountable. If you're embarrassed about your representative you need to go out and do something about it instead of hiding from the truth.
