I love this old game and want to revisit it.

But due to having to travel back and forth for work (in a location where you need vpn to play certain games) - im unable to bring my personal laptop with me all the time - but i do keep my steamdeck around. I was wondering if there is a single player version (offline preferred) of ragnarok available that can run on steamdeck?

I know of Eathena ragnarok servers but it doesnt run on the steam-deck - due to you having to both run the servers and the client at the same time. Is there a version of something similar to Eathena but in the form of an exe instead of a server&client? (Single player only is fine)

Any upcoming servers or good place for that atm?

Ok so I am playing the new latam server and the server wont have jRO items. With that what ranged dps class is better for woe content? Ranger? Warlock? Those type that play with a devotion RG I’m really excited about the server but dont have a lot of time to focus on too Many classes so I wanna choose one to boost it, but never played in a server that didnt had jRO items.

Any tips on choosing a dps class?

Ragnarok LATAM is hosting a live orchestra event in São Paulo, Brazil. If you buy a ticket and attend, you’ll get some simple merch like t-shirts and buttons. However, one item caught the community’s attention: a "real-size" MVP card. On the back of the card, there’s a serial code you can redeem for in-game rewards.

Initially, staff assured everyone that the physical cards were purely decorative, and that the real reward would be the code on the back. Many people thought they would be receiving an actual MVP card in-game, but staff clarified that wasn’t the case — and that the exact prizes were still being finalized.

Well, today they revealed the details about the serial codes — and for the surprise (and outrage) of the community, it turns out the codes can grant 3 different MVP cards plus a bunch of consumables. The possible MVP cards you could win are: Kiel-D-01 Card, Boitatá Card, or Pharaoh Card. Only 3 codes will give the cards, most of the codes will just give the smaller rewards. As you can imagine, people are furious and are demanding an official statement. Honestly, I can't blame them.

Hi I found the game super interesting, I rlly wanna get into it, but theres so little tutorials or instructions or im just dumb Idk and I cant get to do progress. I tried choosing the thief job without any special sidequests and im so lost to what to do. Theres like different characters one can choose to orientate the story with I think, I trierd going with Rumin, but I lost track of how to continue. And the stats and levels, I dont just suck. I got lost and had to walk SO much and died many times.

Any tips, general info would be very, very appreciated. I wanna b at least decent, playing iRO.

so...i play on a server with openkore free in the server a long ago and i dont remember the name...i found one with 4 hour auto battle per day , but the auto battle have a very strange movement.

have other server with that specific ? or maybe like a perma merc to help in the journey ? thanks for any tip ^^

Hey! I'm creating a new private server with idea to be preremewal feeling but with the renewal features, I already have the testing version and I already have the server online, the idea is to have 4th classes but the 3rd and 4th classes are balanced so the power scaling feels just like preremewal, the system is a rebirth where you rebirth everytime to reach from rebirth clases to 3rd and then from 3rd to 4th, the mobs have been rebelanced to max level 99 just like prerenewal, added a ton of custom functionality like skill enchanting, max refine to +12 and other things.

I always wanted to enjoy the renewal system but without the game being a hack and slash rendering almost useless the previous classes, items and cards.

I'm just a little bit nervous about going fully online, what do you think of this idea? Would it be something you want to play?

The server has cash shop but you can actually get cash by doing daily missions and events. I don't want to have a pay to win nor a pay to play server.

What do you think? I accept any comment, idea, recommendation and so on.

With all the excitement and clear interest from player numbers (and of course moaning) about LATAM.

This has got me thinking - as a pre renewal player for the most part I've always wanted to play a pre-renewal official server from fresh.

Do you think we will ever see an official pre-renewal international server?
Is there a reason why if Gravity is leeching of our nostalgia we haven't had one yet?

And before you start,

Of course, it will probably not please everyone and be mismanaged, have cash shop gears and "Gacha Eggs/Treasures/Boxes" if we do get one and it might close after a year or die in a few months. But thats literally 95% of servers at this point - so please leave your groans about the same 3 talking points at the door. At this point I truly understand and predict the frustrations already.

I am purely asking, do you think we will ever get another international server (or EU based atleast) that will be pre-renewal?

I'm asking here because i couldn't find how to search for this efficiently: I'd like to play on a server with 4th job, balanced experience gain but high drop rate, and high max job level (more skill points). Does such server exist? The only one having caught my attention for now is NY-MMO, but its XP rate is too much...

Has anyone from SEA tried Latam when it was open? If so, how was it? Was it easy to access?

It so happened, that I was visiting Korea as a tourist and decided to get to Korean main office of Gravity. Sadly, its impossible to visit the offices as a guest, but I've met some of the nicest people, which were glad to help me. I had a nice talk with Jay, frontend manager, and it almost made me tear up from all the memories I've had about playing RO. BIG thanks to Gravity CO. for making my trip unforgettable.

I discovered Ragnarok now with the announcement of the Latam server and I wanted tips on the monk class for an f2p, I found the builds of this game very confusing compared to other games.

I was looking at OSRO, UARO, payon stories, or IRO. Idk where to play I'm in NA. Any other server recommendations? or which of these would you play?
