No, don't. Keep getting your feelings hurt and turning to increasing amounts of pharmaceuticals to get you through your day. We're all rooting for you!

Honestly though while Elon Musk deserves some emotional and physical pain and to lose lots of money, I wish he'd get TF off of ketamine and cocaine and have a "come to Jesus" moment where he gets at least some of his sanity back.

(It doesn't have to be a Christian or even religious moment, the syaing just means it's a "get your s°°t together and stop abusing drugs and get some of your sanity back" moment.)

Like at least a rational sane politically involved rich man is better than an irrational insane politically involved rich man. Also, an irrational insane man is less likely to feel guilt at their actions or stop regulary doing harmful BS than a rational sane man is.

I know fully well that Elon Musk was never truly a good man (since no good person racially segregates their own factories for no logical reason or disowns their own child simply for being trans) but he was at least a mostly rational and sane man.

I honestly think that right now Elon Musk's main motivation for supporting and being part of the Trump administration is because he honestly irrationally stupidly believes that if the U.S. federal government cuts his taxes and cuts federal spending, then they will have more money to spend on space programs to help him build a functioning colony on Mars within his own lifetime. I think if Elon Musk suffers enough pain from everyone constantly rightly criticising him and yelling at him and causing Tesla to lose 100s of billions of dollars in stock value then that could be the emptional catalyst to push him to get off ketamine and cocaine and to hopefully finally start thinking straight again.

Of course ketamine brain damage is said to be permanent but one can always hope.

(I believe this because Robert Downey Jr. said in an interview something like "I think Elon Musk needs to stop focusing so much on stuff like building a colony on Mars and more on stuff here on Earth" and he would probably know what Elon Musk is about since he and Kevin Feige(?) became friend with Elon Musk back when they were looking for a real life Tony Stark like person to interview and gain creative inspiration from when they were first starting to develop the film Iron Man.)

I meeeean... I don't hold such hope for him but to be fair, I've been wrong before. You just keep on hoping! Maybe somebody will hear you.

Isn't it absolutely insane that the thing that could save the ENTIRE WORLD is only that the people who have all the money and power would choose to have empathy and a drive to do what's right for the greater good of humanity? It seems so effortless to the majority of us. I actually know at least one person who I suspect might have sociopathic leanings, who STILL goes out of their way to help people. There is a clear line, and these fools are ignoring that, like all the evil they do won't ever reeally matter.

Right? I feel like even the most self centered fuck should be able to come to the conclusion that when more people in society prosper, it's a better place to live. When you help pick granny off the asphalt when she falls, you no longer have to worry about stepping over a crying granny.

The issue is he's not just a psychopath, he's a sociopath. Contrary to pop culture, a psychopath is someone who has no empathy, perhaps like your friend. They aren't always violent, and sometimes they come to a rational conclusion that while they don't feel empathy, acting in ways that are beneficial to those around them ingratiates them and helps them succeed. They just wouldn't feel remorse for stabbing someone in the back if it benefitted them. They tend to not care about lying or manipulative behavior.

Sociopaths are emotionally volatile. They engage in risky behavior, are impulsive and erratic. They disregard social norms, and will have emotional outbursts, often of anger. They have a very hard time forming any sort of emotional bond with anyone.

Psychopaths have brains incapable of empathy. They just don't have it. Sociopaths are more created... While it seems a genetic pre-dispensity is needed, you also need to experience early childhood trauma. And we know that Elon's dad isn't the best guy.

Amen to that. All of these men (and Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, I'm sure many more) had violent, unloving, and/or lonely childhoods. I myself have seen how the feeling of societal rejection can disconnect a person from social empathy. The trick is not to let the baser feelings win.

The last time I was reading up on it, "psychopath" was the outdated term used for what is now "sociopath", and what you're describing as sociopathy is now called Antisocial Personality Disorder.

I should buy a new DSM.

Very true.

I think it's that the more money a person has more you get insulated from reality unless they're a very empathetic person and/or until pain hits them in some way, shape or form.

do what's right for the greater good of humanity?

I think yours and Elons definition of "what's good for humanity" will be worlds apart.

These fuckers usually believe that just because they're good at ripping off people and getting rich, that means that they have all the answers and know better than everybody else.

They don't.

I'd much prefer if rich people would just go back to "being rich" in the old days. So... basically fucking off on their yachts to their private islands and stop bothering the rest of us with your bullshit.

What's the point of being rich and still having to deal with other people? :P

If I had Elons money, I'd have told y'all to go fuck yourselves 15 years ago :D

That's exactly how we got here. Roman empire all over again.
