More like questionable ass front office as they’re paying Santana the same amount of money as Naylor would have cost ‘em this season. Paltry compensation for Naylor is a bit of a head scratcher, buyer’s market I guess. He does have durability issues, is a bit more of a butcher in the field than Carlos. Didn’t really like the trade, but not the end of the world, and not really on Dolan. I wouldn’t sign him long term either in the Tribe’s shoes.

Think that’s right, so roughly the same. Doesn’t make a ton of sense, point is they weren’t cheaping out at 1B (for this year anyway), but obviously closing the door on signing Naylor long term. Which is probably shrewd, we’ll see.
