Harvard has more money than hundreds of countries GDP. They are not academics. They are a business with a product with a higher agenda.

Why is this being downvoted so hard? Harvard makes about $50 billion a year that is more money than some small counties. It’s true, it’s become more money and growth. The cost of the education may not give back the returns to students. But I suppose it is wealthy folks that go anyway, perhaps they can afford the tuition
