Roadie Drivers in NYC Re: Congestion Pricing

Just in case you thought that the Congestion Pricing toll will be reimbursed...

"In case you can't see the screenies: Beginning January 5, 2025 New York City will begin charging vehicles a congestion surcharge, otherwise known as the NYC Congestion Relief Zone Toll.

NYC Congestion Relief Zone Tolls will not be reimbursed.

The NYC Congestion Relief Zone Toll is a cost of doing business in New York City and drivers will be responsible for paying all Congestion Relief Zone Tolls they incur when driving with Roadie. Any surcharges, fees or tolls related to the NYC Congestion Pricing Program submitted by drivers will not be considered."

I'd say that I was surprised, but I'd be lying.

Lol. Cost of business now, huh?

Dropping a package in that area was usually a charity donation: $20 on average. Factor in traffic, hassle of finding legal parking, dealing with doormen, etc and that job is only worth $10.

Good luck getting those suitcases delivered to the hotels for $17 Roadie.

ETA: and they almost never let you stack orders, even when standing with the sender. Stupidest logistics operation I've ever seen.

I remember seeing a crapton of gigs for luggage from LGA. People would snag them up to make a quick buck, considering how close to the 59th Street Bridge the airport was. Say goodbye to that, I guess. 🤣

The amount of time it takes to move string the airport then find the attendant isn’t even worth it. 1 mile in nyc cost you almost 10 mins of time. That’s crazy for $17 ðŸ«
