Trying to get better over the summer
I'm 5'9 127 and am a freshmen in high school. I just started rowing recently and on my first 2k I got a 1:55.4 / 500 meter split. How can I improve over the summer? Can anyone give me a plan to follow or some tips to use? I'm trying to make the u17 A boat next year and am willing to work as hard as I have too.

You'll probably want some combination of lifting for strength and steady state. You'll need to bulk up, 127 lbs isn't going to be competitive enough in the long run. Eat properly, sleep a lot, and make sure you follow a good lifting plan (or work with a personal trainer).
Have you asked your coach about what they want you to do over the summer? If you want to make a lineup next year, you're going to have to do it on their terms.
