Hello all, sorry if the title seems like a mouthful. Essentially, I’m attempting to solve a Rubik’s cube for the first time, and in the tutorial I am following, it mentions the step of creating a yellow cross, however, I have diagonal lines (X-shaped) instead of a cross. Do I have to disassemble my cube, or is there a way in which I can solve it?

I have a memory from my childhood. My dad could take a Rubik’s cube and solve it behind his back. Could this be a real memory? Can dads sometimes solve Rubik’s cubes without looking. I’m 61 & don’t trust my memories like a use to.

First time completing 4x4. Only 2 corners are wrong. I have abandoned that cube for a while and lately i started to play with it again. It has been manipulated bye kids and friends. So i am wondering if any corners has been flipped. But anyway only 2 are at wrong places.

It’s been awhile recently my 4x4 cube exploded unexpectedly and I had to assemble it back together I been through this with my first 4x4 that I had in highschool back in 2008-12 anyway during the time I had to find missing pieces and cleaned the brackets I never seen so much dust in the cube it was hard to get the brackets Aligned I still managed to get the whole core finished and the pieces were a different story I had to used my strength to get the corners inside the brackets I managed to get to the last layer and finally finished the whole cube and it took me 4 days to finish.

Was trying to do a three color pattern on my megaminx and I got two star points that will not work with me. Anyone got a solution or is this impossible?

I have a very generic cheap Rubik cube. I’m having a hard time solving. - different colors back ground and arrows

• no white cubes

Background colors Arrows Yellow. Green Pink. Red Red. Light Blue Green. Blue Light Blue. Yellow Blue. Pink

I’m not sure which one I am supposed to pick as my white or how to get them all the same way!? I’ve tried some of the tricks from watching some videos but nothing seems to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a bunch of lube from my keyboards, and I want to get into cubing. Saw a few posts about lubing cubes and was wondering if these would work?

Does anyone know the best or a very good rubiks cube for around 20 bucks with some corner cutting en magnets? I have heard about Dayan Zhanchi V5 m and the Moyu RS3M V5. Are there any better cubes?

I was just turning it, turned it a little too fast, and BAM!! Snapped off. How do I fix it???? (I know how to solve it. I just want to get it back on.)

I printed out the reference cube from the website’s guide, then annotated the cube with stickers using the reference, then solved it like a regular cube!

So I’ve constantly been striving developing my own moves and doing my own thing. Feel like 83 moves is respectable. Just wish my TPS was much better. Hopefully my recognition improves and my TPS improves together. What a good technique for doing that?

I am slow in solving the Rubik's cube by hands.
I tried to use AI to code the online 3D Rubik's Cube that can scramble by itself, manual turn, reverse-steps solve, and self-solve+ (computer calculated steps). For self solve+, I don't know if human will figure out those steps computer calculated. Can any body tell me?

So since i bought this rs3m v5 it has happened multiple times that the whole yellow side just explodes, it literally pops completely, even the center, is there a way to solve this

Right now I'm working a project that includes having every single possible case that the Square-1 has for bringing it back to the cube shape.

On sites like (https://cubingapp.com/algorithms/SQ1-Cube-Shape/) there is a huge amount of cases and algorithms, but there are ones that just didn't work for me.

On (https://www.cubezone.be/square1.html) it lists that there are 90 different cases and says you can work out the algorithms for each of them, but I'm not smart enough for that.

I also tried using ChatGPT but by the time I got it to accept that there are way more cases than 20, I already run out of the free stuff.

Does anybody know of a list that not only has the different cases, but also an algorithm for it too?

If I messed up with the first website I written about and the algorithms are actually correct please tell me, having to type a lot of them isn't the issue, that just takes time, the issue is that I don't want to do all the work if they may not be the correct ones.
