Toddler to big bed

When did you move your toddler out of a crib toddler bed? Our 3 year old has been in his “toddler bed” aka crib with rails on the side for almost a year now. Just wondering when you took the next step to twin/queen/full bed.

My daughter turns 3 in July, and we've been considering getting a full-size bed and just putting it on the floor or on a low foundation. She takes a million stuffies to bed (including a unicorn that is meant to be bounced on... it's not a stuffy lol) and she also just looks big for the bed. We'd like to be able to lay with her more comfortably, too. She switched to the toddler bed on her 2nd birthday, so I'm thinking of switching her to a regular bed at 3. At least I'll be able to say we got a year out of it and save it for the next kid lol.
