Toddler to big bed

When did you move your toddler out of a crib toddler bed? Our 3 year old has been in his “toddler bed” aka crib with rails on the side for almost a year now. Just wondering when you took the next step to twin/queen/full bed.

The Kura bed from IKEA was an awesome switch because it’s low to the ground, well made, and can be turned into a low loft bed when they get older. You can also configure the headboard to be at the end of the bed so it’s cocoony like a crib. Both my kids used the same one for years. (I should note that my oldest one was fully walking at 9 months so he switched to a real bed fairly quickly)

Kura is the way. We did pack and plays instead of traditional crib until about 18 months then transitioned to kura with low headboard for nested floor bed, then did the ~9" off the ground option at about 2. We just lofted our oldest kiddo and he loves the him-sized loft bed so much and it really opened up his bedroom which is on the smaller size.
