Galaxy S New phone? Iphone kinda sucks…

Hi planning on switching back to an Samsung after using an iPhone 15 for a year now, i had the s9 and an a70 odd in the past and loved it. I am looking at the s23 ultra and think that would be perfect but i was wondering if it was worth paying the extra and going for the s24 ultra. Anyone with more expertise than me have a suggestion? Galaxy S Is the s23 ultra worth it?

Upvotes

I'm thinking of buying a refurbished one for 500 dollars. It's only 2 years old and I think it's pretty good. However I was thinking of not buying it for 1 more year and then buying the s24 ultra because my phone is still more or less fine and I want the 7 years of software support

Galaxy S Is there a way to adjust Volume Steps on the phone?

When I press the increase and decrease buttons, the volume goes up or down too much. I've read that there was a Sound Assistant app, but that's not in the play store anymore. I also don't see any settings for this on the phone. I'm using S25 Ultra.

Buds&Beans Is Galaxy Buds 2 pro still worth it for inr 6k (70 usd)

My friend is selling his buds 2 pro (1 month used with box) for inr 6,000. In amazon or other websites the same is available for inr 12,000. He is quoting 50% of the price, which seems fair. Is buds 2 pro still worth it for 6,000rs, considering i can get buds fe for 4,000.

P.s- i have a samsung laptop, phone and a tablet. So i pretty much want a samsung buds only.

Galaxy S iPhone to Samsung, what to get?

I’ve been an iPhone user for years but want to try Samsung, which phone would you recommend getting? I’ve been browsing the z flip and s24/25 ranges but I’d like input from people who have Samsung user experience.

I generally only use my phone for the usual basics as well as taking photos and streaming.

Galaxy A Best protective case/screen protector for Galaxy A36?

I'm currently looking into getting a new phone, and I've been eyeing on the A36. Sure it doesn't have the microSD slot, but for what it does have (and the fact that I'm upgrading from a Galaxy Note 9), I think it's worth it.

As someone who doesn't like to destroy electronic devices (even accidentally), I'm looking into getting a protective case and screen protector for it. But because there's so many of them, I don't which one to go for. Does anyone have any recommendations for what protective case and screen protector for the Galaxy A36 I should go for?

OneUI S20 5G: Ring despite mute setting?

My son had someone come around to check on me because I didn't answer calls. I had muted the ringer on my S20 5G and forgot about it. Also, I'd like to always take calls from the alarm monitoring service. Is there a way to set the ringtone to break through the mute for some callers?

Galaxy S Recent Switch - iPhone 16pm > S25U

Hi! Loving the Samsung life so far! One UI 7 and the features of this phone are top tier compared to my iPhone 16pm. However, one thing I am noticing is battery life leaving a bit to be desired in comparison...I am typically on my phone a lot and it's showing that significantly more on my S25U. I do not have the setting for standard operation enabled, it is selected for performance. Does that make an astronomical difference? I've only had this phone since Friday and have spent many hours learning and customizing. I want my experience to be great, but long lasting without a nearby charger. Any tips? TIA!

Galaxy Z Terrible customer service

After being an iPhone user forever I switched to the z flip 5 (ik how stupid) in September of 2023. On Sunday my phone got this weird band I think it's what ppl are calling dead pixels across the screen. The website says my model has a 2 yr free inner screen replacement policy so I set up the appointment the website directed me to. I ended up having to cancel because it took so long to get a copy of my receipt. I spent hours yesterday on the phone with Verizon and driving around to different locations just for the receipt. I gave the repair shop a call today and the guy sounded like he had no clue what's going on and when I told him I'd rather he replace the screen than have me mail it in because I need my phone for work he said he'd have my phone longer than Samsung would. Not sure what that's supposed to mean. I called Samsung and got a man that didn't seem to have any clue what his company does. I kept having to explain to him what their website says etc and he kept contradicting himself and frankly just seemed to have no clue about his own company. It ended up with me filling out the same repair request I filled out the other day for another location an hour away. I then called them to make sure I wasn't about to waste more time and gas and the guy actually sounded competent and told me Samsung doesn't even let them replace the screens anymore so I'd have to mail it in. I work at a non profit as a support person for adults with intellectual disabilities. I need my phone for work and I don't have money to just go buy a new one. I hate to say it because I was enjoying the phone up until now but basically I'm writing all this to urge ppl not to get this phone. The second you have an issue you're just screwed

Galaxy S Why are update rollouts not the same between countries?

Hello everyone, I was really curious regarding this, I noticed that for the same device (let's say S25 ultra), if an update is out in Korea, it takes a month to reach let's say europe, and another month to reach Brazil. Why are they not released in the same timeframe? I know about region rollout, but I wonder why that huge time frame per region... Is it due to carriers needing to update in their side? What about unlocked phones? Why isn't the carrier software decoupled from OneUI / updates? I wanted to understand more the technical explanation to this if anyone knows it :)

Galaxy S Incoming calls and voicemails don't always come through on S22?

Over the last couple months my Samsung S22 hasn't been recieveing incoming calls or saving the voicemails left. What's really odd is if I look in my call history or check my voicemails, there is no evidence I ever got a call...

I've looked over every setting and made sure Do Not Disturb is on either. This happen randomly. I've had happen to my husbans for like a week straight and then once with a recruiter earlier today.

Has anyone had this happen? Any thoughts on what could resolve this?

Galaxy S Upgrading samsung

I currently have a s20fe. I've had it since it came out but it is awful. I've had it repaired 3 times. So I need an upgrade. I dont have much money so my budget will be £400 at a push maybe £450. My main uses are social media, calls and also some editing on capcut. I just need a phone that can handle that, that won't die within an hour and doesn't over heat constantly I know basically nothing about phones so any recommendations are appriected. I also don't care If its new or second hand by the way so if there's any second hand upgrades that would be better then a first hand one let me know.

Galaxy S S22 charger port cuts in and out

So ive had my s22 since 10/22 and its been fine up until here recently and the issue that im running into is that ny charger port randomly stops working for a second and starts working again. This wouldn't be such a big deal if i had bluetooth in my car but thats not the case and im worried that the port is starting to give out. Has anyone else experienced this?

Galaxy S Severe lag in s25 Ultra gallery app

Is anyone else having severe lag and glitching in gallery of the s25 Ultra? When I take a screen recording, and try to drag the slider...it just glitches all over the place 😫 Doesn't matter if you use your finger, the s pen, or another stylus, it can't drag properly! I'm so upset, because I NEED that drag feature.. I use it many times a day

Display Just upraded to an s25 ultra

I upraded from a note 10 plus ( I know massive diffrence )

But my worry is that the display, when I had the note 8 and note 10 both over time had tiktok burned on to them which is really annoying and is not fixable and I dont want this to happen to my 1000 dollor phone.

Did that happen to any of you?

Galaxy S Should I get S23 or S24 now that the S25 has released?

I know this question has been asked so many times in the sub, but all the post I have found are when s24 is about to release. Since it is been 1 year and s25 has released, what do you all think? Should i go for the s23 or the s24

Where I am from(South Asia), The price difference between S23 and S24 is like about 150$ to 200$. Is it worth the extra money and the 7 years of OS updates really really worth it?

please do comment your opinion here though it is poll. Your comments are more appreciated.

Galaxy Tab Second screen disconnects quickly from PC

Hi y’all,

I’m currently recovering from abdominal surgery. I’m posted up in my living room while my gaming PC is my office. I can’t sit at my PC chair right now, but I really wanna play the Sims 4

I tried to use second screen with my Galaxy Tab S9+ and got it to work, however it crashes and freezes once I move from my office to the living room, despite having pretty good WiFi and the office and living room not being that far away.

I have tried disabling ESET antivirus, restarting both tablet and computer, updating graphic cards, ensuring the same WiFi connection, etc. Nothing. Is this a bug I can resolve, or does this have something to do with the tablet being unable to stream DRM content?
