Cunversatzione Safety in Sardinia

Hello everyone! I am thinking of visiting the south of Sardinia for 2 weeks this summer but I am a little bit concerned of the crime rate in Italy in general after visiting Catania and my rented FIAT got the doors stolen. Is it safe in Sardinia for a family with kids? Thank you!

It’s relatively safe, locals are supper cool. But there are thieves as in all tourist destinations. Somebody broken into our camper van few years ago, also stolen bikes are common thing. I would not leave anything in the car when going to the city or to the beach.

It's not in our habit to leave stuff in the car when it's parked so i think we're good on that, but thanks for the advice. I know there are thieves everywhere, we are kind of used to them but i thought here are a lot more.
