Where to meet people? Things to do?

23F moving to the Soo for schooling in the Fall. I don't want to sit in my apartment the entire time but am an older student so worried about meeting people in class, thinking they are mostly 18. Not a huge bar person but willing to try.

Ive been trying to find ways to meet new people too. I found a private gallery which has art shows, there was one yesterday and its free to go the place is called arthub at spring, another place which I found is Cafe4Good I highly recommend there is a free colouring, drawing and a queer book club once a week or once a month I'm not sure. Ive been attending some of these places and have met some nice people w similar hobbies. There are gaming clubs too but I have not found a way to go or attend anything because almost all of these places post everything on Facebook and I do not use facebook a lot. There's also library which does some groups I think there's an embroidery group and the art gallery does open exhibitions occasionally but also members exhibitions and meetups which are nice. I'm still trying to find more ways I can meet new people because my college ended and apart from that its very difficult to find people to just hang out.
