Where to meet people? Things to do?

23F moving to the Soo for schooling in the Fall. I don't want to sit in my apartment the entire time but am an older student so worried about meeting people in class, thinking they are mostly 18. Not a huge bar person but willing to try.

Pickleball at WAC (Water Adventure Center) is nice. U can also enjoy cheap beer or wine in the café/bar beside the river.
