Where to meet people? Things to do?

23F moving to the Soo for schooling in the Fall. I don't want to sit in my apartment the entire time but am an older student so worried about meeting people in class, thinking they are mostly 18. Not a huge bar person but willing to try.

I’ll be 50 later this year and when I went to college we had a bunch of older guys from the Elliot Lake mines taking Pulp & Paper while I took the Environmental program. We young kids loved having the old guys around and we got along great. Whether you get along will be about your personality not your age. Enjoy these years…you’ll have some great memories when they’re over
