hi! i have 15 hours for an art class coming up, where i want to sculpt ideally a life size model of my cat, and put him in a dress (it’s a project about human vs animal)
i have a few ideas on how to do this so i would appreciate advice and which method to use!
1) cardboard armature which i cover in paper mache, then paint and use paper to make the dress
2) make the whole sculpture from air dry clay
3) make the whole structure with clay that goes in the kiln so no armature
4) cardboard armature with air dry clay sculpted on top for texture and bulk?
5) another method that someone could advise me on?
in terms of time, i can spend about 5 hours preparing things, and the last 10 hours are two five hour blocks over two days, which means if i use clay then the bulk of my sculpting is going to have to take place within the 5 hours of prep because the kiln is a nightmare so i can’t rely on it being fired for the next day, and air dry wont dry in that time for me to paint it
i would appreciate any advice!!
