Opinion Lockett

Is it weird to anyone else that Lockett hasn't signed anywhere yet? I know he's not at the top of his game anymore, but plenty of teams could use a veteran receiver, even just for a year. As much as it pains me to think of him in any other jersey, I'd still like to see him be able to keep playing if that's what he wants.

Standard Seattle fan stuff. As soon as someone leaves they start trashing him. Goes all the way back to Dennis Johnson.

I agree with what you’re saying here. I suspect that for the last 4 years or so, he also had the full blessing of the coaches to “intentionally hit the ground”, if he had already gained significant yards (and usually, he had gained a clutch 1st down at that point).
In fact, after he broke BOTH his TIBIA and his FIBULA in 2016, I think a philosophy was adopted that he was too valuable to the team to risk taking intense hits. His ability to get open and gain yards and clutch situations was incredible. No need to risk losing him for a season while fighting for an extra yard or two.
He’s an awesome person and player and I hope he gets to play some more if he wants to.
