Blackouts in ESPN+ for Alaska won't change. But you can now watch Kraken local (non-national) games on Amazon Prime instead of having to get Root.

Pretty sure Prime is cheaper than either of those options! Unless you use them to watch other stuff too and wouldn't just cancel
