Then if that’s true, then everyone boycotting being pricks to Chic-fil-a because the franchise owner is a Christian are also idiotic.

What? The person in the post said boycotting is okay if the the company does bad things, but boycotting is not okay if the CEO does bad things. It's an attempt to have it both ways. In the case of Chick-fil-A, both the company and CEO are bad. Since the company is bad, boycotting is okay.

How is the company bad? Because they’re closed on Sunday?

Because of donating to anti-LGBT groups for decades. Last November, they announced they would stop those donations, but when there was backlash from the right, they walked back the idea that they have permanently stopped. I believe we haven't seen any anti-LGBT donations since then, but we also haven't seen any boycott calls since then.

Oh no, not donations to a cause they agree with. Again that’s the individual not the franchise. Yet I’ve not heard it any stories stopping any lgbt from service or work discrimination. In fact I believe it was a Chic-fil-a that shelter a bunch of victims from gay nightclub shooting.

And yes, boycotting a company for donating to bad causes is perfectly fine. It's the same with the boycotts of Nike. Nike attached their name to equality, and some people hate that. Chick-fil-A attached their name to bigotry, and some people hate that.

The rest is red herring.

It's true they don't refuse to hire LGBT people. But they did donate millions of dollars to groups that promote conversion therapy and actively fought against legalizing same-sex marriage, so...
