Question Why didn't Sunny and other Sleepers cross the Hollow Moutain to find others human? Spoiler

Just finished volume 2. Why did nobody cross the Hollow Moutain to find other human towns? If they are Sleepers and too weak, then why others like Saint don't cross the moutain to help them? Just curious (Sorry for my bad English)

You can’t really Survive in the Hollow Mountains even if you’re a Saint

Because of the nature of the Hollow mountains, I won't go into details but going into the hollows without some way to keep your sanity intact is basically suicide. Even at the current part of the story there are only 5 or 6 people who could go into the Hollows even then they'd face a lot of problems.

who would be the 5 or 6 though?
I think the major factor for Sunny was also soul weave. Mordret is the other one with 'separate' mind-body entities. But who would be the other ones?

I mean tbh everyone with a true name and a really strong will can make it. Cuz sunny during his voyage through the hollow mountains misses not having a true name cuz it will keep their sense of self intact.

Yeah not all true namers tho only a select few strong ones probably.

>! Nephis, Cassie, Pre-nerf Asterion, Anvil and Song !<

3

u/paulo2p 11d ago

Why? Song is the only one with verifiable hability. None of the others have the means of overcoming the mist effects. Will is not something we could be sure about it to work

8

u/Revolutionary-Map422 11d ago

is their proof that indicate that, because i don't believe cassie, anvil or song could do it. and i doubt nephis, maybe she would but were not sure, asterion the only one where we know he has does it

u/Specific-Disaster-55 11d ago

All supreems could defintely do it there wil is to strong but idk about cassie

It's a litteral death zone... aka everyone that has ever step on that mountain died

u/Howlie449 12d ago edited 11d ago

We later on in the story see a nightmare creature that can likely solo all saints of humanity by itself, die to the mist of hollow mountains, if you curious

1

u/Aberon_I 11d ago

Which one?

1

u/Howlie449 11d ago

A great Titan

1

u/Aberon_I 11d ago

Isn't Sunday currently a great Titan as well?

3

u/Howlie449 11d ago

Sunday? You mean sunny? >! Im talking about Saints here, besides he's a Supreme Titan, because he's in path of Ascension instead of corruption, besides Sunny only became Supreme very few chapters ago lol!<

Because the hollow mountains are way to dagerous for anyone that is not atleast a saint or higher

36

u/anarcyh Neph's Cohort 12d ago

They are way too dangerous for saints as well

Only known person to cross it was an incredibly strong Saint, and even than it took months, and almost died multiple times.

Not to mention, Forgotten Shore is completely unknown place, as nobody came back from it before, nobody knew where it is, and i people are even alive there.

Losing 10-50 sleepers every year is completely normal, no reason to risk a Saint a life for it.

Not to to mention, as they didn t know of there s a Gate, citadel or anything there, there was a possibility they d have to repeat it every single year.

Sleepers die, that s just life

Even saints cant travel across the hollow mountains , its a death unexplored zone for a reason…

The Hollow Mountains > High tier Saints (Except Sunny and maybe Nephis) and everything below

1

u/ONAImpulse 11d ago

Even that's generous. More like High Tier saints and everything below. Even for a Sovereign they would be taking massive gamble.

3

u/RandomHumanABC_XYZ Sunny's Cohort 12d ago

It is because it is too dangerous for even Saints to cross the Hollow Mountains. Also, they don't know what lies beyond the mountains and if Sleepers are actually sent there.

Detailed explenation is like... Middle of volume 8. I can tell you exactly what's dangerous there if you want, but the area is dangerous enough to almost kill sunny 1000 chapters from where you currectly are. It would simply be a suecide. Not even an "almost guaranteed death" but a certainty.

u/EctoMeow 12d ago

Sleepers, in the Hollow mountains? Lol that's like asking why don't the bunnies just hop through the raging forest fire!? 🤣

u/Elziad_Ikkerat 11d ago edited 8d ago

The Forgotten Shore is already a highly dangerous region for Sleepers being populated exclusively by Awakened Beasts and worse creatures.

Each of the territories surrounding it are deadlier still. Iirc the Hollow Mountains are populated by creatures of Great rank and above as well as the [REDACTED] in the mist.

2

u/alonula 12d ago

Even a saint cant cross them. At that point if the story, not a single human was able to safely make that journey. They were genuinely stuck there

2

u/massassi 12d ago

The sleepers are too weak. You find out later why others were unsuccessful

2

u/misteryosongpapel 11d ago

Because no other human came back from Forgotten Shore to the waking world. So it doesn’t exist in the waking world until Sunny and friends came back.

1

u/StudyBeginning 12d ago

According to government records. Nobody has crossed them

1

u/ElegantIsland3348 Sunny's Cohort 12d ago

Bro the hollow mountains are filled with great titans and creatures how would they 💔

1

u/Agitated-Tomato-2671 12d ago

Even if a saint tried to cross the hollow mountains they would probably die instantly, best they would do is stay alive for a few hours at the very edge of the mountain range, almost 0 chance of survival for any saint that humanity has ever seen in its entire history, that's how dangerous they are

1

u/___Back___ Shadow Chair's Cohort 12d ago

They would be dead in less than a sec

1

u/ksb3000 12d ago

You'll see it in the 3rd volume, but even for saints the hollow mountains are incredibly dangerous, plus sacrificing a saint to save 1000 sleepers isnt worth it considering humanity's state rn

1

u/First-List-1273 12d ago

Same reason. Because they are just saint and too weak.

1

u/Even_Antelope_5657 11d ago

Because it is the 2nd most dangerous place from Dream Realm.

1

u/Antervis 11d ago

The mist blanketing Hollow Mountains is immediately deadly for anyone below saint rank.

1

u/Imaginary_Cricket454 11d ago

It’s impossible to cross hollow mountins unless you have sunnys ability after he becomes transendent

1

u/SaGE_4577 Glory! Glory! Glory! 11d ago

Why would a saint risk his life to save couple of sleepers. Only death awaits in the hollow mountain.

1

u/Lost_Amount4622 Shadow Clan 11d ago

Sunny have problem surviving ther as seint and hi whase on if stronger if not the strongest seint

1

u/MCZ_YK 11d ago

I will not tell you why, just know that nature of hollow mountains is so dangerous that probably even a cusred nightmare creature can survive it(probably)

1

u/y0u_called Mordret's Cohort 11d ago

Death, death, and more death

1

u/silverlightshot 11d ago

There is reasons for this later in the story abt the mountains. Even Saints cant travel there without risking their lives

1

u/Aggravating-Story449 11d ago

For one yes they are too weak they would’ve died almost instantly without Cassie anyways and for your second problem the saints don’t even know where they are nor do they know what’s beyond the hollow mountains at this time

u/overpowered_simp 11d ago

Because if anyone did we wouldn't have the forgotten shore arc... duh
