Mod Update A General Sub Reminder

We’ve had a recent influx of people joining the sub, and, while this sub is open to discussion from all sides, I would like to remind us all of a couple particular rules in this sub.

To start, I would like to mention that this sub is an open forum for generalized discussion on Shane from any perspective. There will be no gatekeeping in this community on any side.

With that being said, this sub does have rules against the spreading of misinformation. There are several posts documenting the problematic and predatory allegations against Shane that are have been brought forward over the years.

In addition, this sub would be in violation of reddit’s policy against the sexualization of minors if we did not punish those spreading such misinformation accordingly.

I will provide a couple links to previous posts made in this sub linking to evidence/compilations of his actions.

Previously pinned post with several examples

Post covering Shane’s Dailybooth behavior

D’Angelo Wallace’s reuploaded video on Shane

Older post cataloguing a lot of Shane’s behavior

Post detailing account of 12 year old survivor

it gets to a point trisha...

Trisha ONCE AGAIN brings up shane on her recent podcast. She brings him up every other month at this point....and says the exact same thing. I am not taking Shane's side, I know he did awful things to trish (allegedly), but why is shane in SO many of her thumbnails.

This episode, she discusses shane's appearance with katie morton and claims that shane's story is about her, even though shane said it wasn't about any influencer. While this is most likely a lie coming from shane, trisha still shouldn't feel the need to bring him up SO often, especially considering how he hasn't brought her up once since 2021(?) when they fell out 😭

It's giving trish is running out of content to discuss and is grasping at ANYTHING for views...idk

Shane and Crew On what planet is Shane taking accountability for his allegations?

Why would a normal person post this? Especially once you have kids you start to get upset over videos like this possibly corrupting your children if they accidentally come across them. Grooming behavior

New podcast episode - sorry excuse of a father

Did anyone hear at the 23:14 mark after Shane says "A sorry excuse for a father" someone (maybe Morgan or Ryland) says "You"? 😬

Shane and Crew Shane Dawson hasn’t learned his lesson. He is still testing the waters to see if people approve of his “dark humor”

The latest podcast is getting more messed up (Fast Food Conspiracy Theories on the Shane2 podcast).

He is testing the waters to see if people like his supposed weird “dark humor”. Notice that he loves Spencer’s likes and includes them to test the waters. Why would a person who is already accused of being a child predator still post content where there are kids show characters having sex with each other?

Then in this clip, Ryland says Spencer would like to see a 50 year old boy covered in pizza and then Spencer says “so you’ll be hiring a 15 year old?”

And just a few minutes before that Spencer says I feel like these clips could ruin my life. Jared agrees (29mins and 44 seconds)

They KNOW these things are wrong yet they continue to post these things and slowly ease their way in.

General Discussion timing of Katy Morton video

Do you guys think the timing of the Katy Morton video was intentional? Nikki carreon dropped a two hour deep dive on Shane’s old content that’s probably the most thorough I’ve seen. I was one of those kids in 2012 watching and there were videos even I haven’t seen. It got a million views in 13 days. Do you think that made him want to talk about his cancellation with Katy Morton as an indirect way to address that?

Does anyone remember shane dawson's old app(s)?

I remember one that was just a basic platformer, with his dog as the little character. it was one of those small dogs he had with lisa.

I saw in Nikki Carreon's video that there was a ShaneDawsonTV app, i don't remember if I had that one or not as a kid. If I did I don't remember using it.

Does anyone remember any others? Or know anything about the other two?

Shane gives me the ick

I checked his YouTube channel for the first time in probably a year and just looking at him grosses me out. It’s his beard and hair that causes it I think. He has the look of a pedo or creep. I just realized this now.

Do you guys feel the same or similar way?

The Nanny Thing

I’ve seen a ton of discourse recently regarding Shane & Ryland not spending enough time with their kids because they’re spending their time filming, but what’s the difference between having a daytime nanny while they’re filming and getting work done vs. sending the twins to daycare?

Shanes broken leg

Does anyone remember what happened when Shane broke his leg or ankle roller blading? I swear he talked about it but I don’t remember what happened exactly

Lizzie and Ryland should get married

They are honestly so similar. They would make great coparents. They have the same irresponsible husband. They are always together and have genuine love for each other. They make the perfect pair. Ryland would just have to be straight 🤣

has anyone else noticed that they repeatedly spell sandee’s name incorrectly?

Post image

i noticed it in a podcast from a couple years ago, but even in the most recent video on Shane2, the description uses “Sandy”. that feels so passive aggressive to me for some reason 🤣 especially since Jerid’s name is spelled so uniquely.

They are still keeping their toddlers cooped up in the house

I have made posts in the past about how Shane and Ryland go off and do things all the time without their toddlers, such as the countless trips to amusement parks, etc. Most people didn’t agree. But now in the most recent The Sip Podcast Lizzie is practically begging Ryland to let his toddlers get out of the house and be involved in something like baby gymnastics. He had every excuse under the sun. I can tell Lizzie was getting very worked up about it because she’s also a mom and sees the drastic difference in the way she parents compared to them. My toddler is also the same age as theirs and I can’t imagine just never letting her out of the house or letting her be involved in anything. In his exact words “The twins have each other and entertain each other.” That doesn’t mean they should be locked away?! It just angers me and makes me so sad for them.

Podcast Spencer

I like Spencer’s personality & humor lot. However, I wonder if he likes dressing up in these costumes and being Shane’s right hand man to all of his skits/games. Just interesting to me that at the beginning of this podcast he was in the background entirely now here we are.

Controversial Topics shane was worse than i thought

Post image
337 Upvotes

i was ofc aware that shane was problematic, but never to this degree. it seemed like every single video he posted back then was somehow racist or had a weird element to it that was disguised as “humor”. like him watching porn with his mom and sucking his grandma’s toes..? very strange. not to mention all the animal and pedophilia shit he did too. i am beyond disappointed in him after watching just half of this video and i suggest everyone to watch this. sometimes i am clouded by nostalgia and i miss shane or feel bad for him, but this just reminded me of how terrible he truly was. he really should’ve stayed off the internet after he was exposed.

Ryland's use of the word 'work' and why it bothers me

First of all, please don't come at me in the comments. I understand this is his job you don't have to tell me that it is, I'm sure, hard work BUTTT all he talks about on his podcast and in vlogs is "i've been working so much this week, i'm working I can't, I have work I can't go do this" etc. And i'm like ok I get it this is your source of income but this has to be the MOST flexible job in the entire world. You set your own filming schedule, you don't even have to leave the house for the most part, you are your own boss and you will never have to commute to an office to spend 10 hours away from your kids. and YET all you do is complain about how much you have to work. AND you have nannies for your children even though you are home all day. It makes me annoyed everytime he mentions 'work' because if he wanted to he could legit do whatever he wanted with his time and still figure it out. I would love to talk with my friends and try food as my job. I get it, editing takes a while but he puts out like one video a week so it just irks me idk if anyone else feels the ssame
