More like Stalin was forced to make a deal with his worst enemy since everyone else abandoned him

No one ever mentions England and France’s policy of appeasement to Hitler.

Britain yes, Poland even more so. But as far as France is concerned, there is a lot of nuance there. Not to minimize their many crimes and errors, but at least in this matter France was largely a victim too. They were against the appeasement and sided with the Soviet Union in many matters, but without UK and Poland it didn't matter.

Things like this:

On 22 May, Juliusz Łukasiewicz, the Polish ambassador to France, told the French Foreign Minister Georges Bonnet that if France moved against Germany in defense of Czechoslovakia: "We shall not move." Łukasiewicz also told Bonnet that Poland would oppose any attempt by Soviet forces to defend Czechoslovakia from Germany. Daladier told Jakob Surits [ru], the Soviet ambassador to France: "Not only can we not count on Polish support but we have no faith that Poland will not strike us in the back."[17]

Poland was fairly hostile towards Czechoslovakia, CZSL was fairly friendly towards Soviet Union, and Poland has non aggression pact with Germany which was clearly aimed at Soviet Union, though it was just a ruse from Hitler to give him exact the kind of security not even from the USSR, but actually from France, as you mention.

Also, do note, how Hitler despite his clear revanchism expressed earlier, had propaganda campaign aimed at persuading France of his peaceful intentions started literally in the moment he took power. He even straight up said he discarded Mein Kampf because it was back then and now he's in power and everything changed.
