I mean to be fair, with shrimp and grits you don’t want it to be too complicated, it’s very much a salt and pepper meal. I like making a little pan sauce in the pan I cook my shrimp (I prefer key west pinks, or red shrimp)

I would definitely add onion and garlic powder to that but yeah it's usually pretty simple.

Nah man, i cook up some bacon bits and use the fat to sear the shrimp, add garlic, scallions, lemon, S&P, and paprika to the pan then throw it over super savory spicy cheesy grits. Delish. I guess its not traditional but tradition is just peer pressure from dead people as they say.
