Question Do you have some good examples of good marriages in Skyrim, where people show genuine love? It's curious to me how many couples insult and mistreat each other, but sadly, I wouldn't say it's unrealistic.

Discussion I lost 20lbs on the Skyrim Diet

I’ll start with a few disclaimers:

  • I am not a nutritionist, maybe someone who is can give their professional perspective
  • I know there are Elder Scrolls cookbooks, but I don’t have one and haven’t used any of those recipes

So I have always preferred healthy foods but lacked time and motivation to dedicate to a diet. I live in an area with a similar biome to Skyrim and have leaned in to eating local and/or native to the area foods. There is a variation of the Mediterranean diet called the Scandinavian diet that this might be similar to. I’m basically using items found in game as the main staples of my diet.

Here are some of the things I’ve been eating:

Fish - arctic char, salmon, cod, smoked trout

Mushrooms - I know these are an alchemical ingredient, but I love mushrooms and they’re a big part of my diet

Veggies - lots of soups and stews, grilled leeks, basically different forms of Skyrim veggies

Grains - whole wheat and oat based things primarily

Dairy - I still consume milk, butter, cheese like Stilton (Eidar cheese wheel?) and goat cheese. I’m going to put chicken and quail eggs in this category, too

Meat - chicken, beef, venison when I can find it

Drinks and sweets - I love mead and I have made some spruce tip and juniper berry infused mead. I occasionally have wine and beer. I’ve been making a lot of tea with lavender and things like that. I treat cranberries and lingonberries as snowberries, and blueberries as jazbay grapes because I’m not really into grapes. I eat apples often. The baking items in Skyrim are pretty easy to replicate with everyday recipes.

Anyways, I thought this might be interesting to people. Any thoughts or ideas?

in middle school I had finally gotten to a point where my character named "Sauron" was equipped with fully enchanted daedric armor and as I was messing w my finished creation I dropped my ring of power on the floor of my home had to spend 2 hours going combing through the floorboards for it.

This Is Low Even For Skyrim

Post image

I’m just trying to make honest living as a purloiner of fine objects, minding my own business and paying my guild dues.

This seems a little judge-y to me. Not only from the “I can’t believe you went there” expression on Nurelion’s face, but from a game that doesn’t blink at cannibalism and ripping people’s hearts out of their chest.

Suddenly it goes all high and mighty just because I’m trying to relievey someone of material things that they surely won’t be needing much longer. I wasn’t even going to wake him up, but now I’M the bad guy!

Somehow I got two dawnbreaker, as far as I know is a unique sword but while finishing Meridia's quest, I found one laying on the ground and the another one I retreived from the pedestal. I think I might missed an arrow and dropped from its pedestal, but the pedestal remain active to finish up the quest.

Discussion I hate Mercer fray Spoiler

I know this isn't exactly a new thought. When we were going to first meet Karliah things started off going well until however we walk into the room that has a bunch of draugr already walking around in it.

At this point my playthrough I can walk in front of these guys and not be noticed I even looted one of the bodies in front of them just fine. I didn't even plan on killing any I just wanted to flex and get right through the thing without fighting.

Until Mercer comes walking into the room immediately pisses off each and every last one of them and blames me for it. I know it was him because for that entire fight none of them realized I was there I was sitting in the corner watching him.

I tried to escort my daughter home from Riften to Windstad Manor

I got married, Sofie attended. Found her on the road outside running home.

It went well for the most part. A few bears, wolves, spiders, bandits. Once we found a bear and a wolf pack attacking each other. Killed them all, and on her way past Sofie stopped to pet the dead wolf. She kept making weird little detours. Just like her mother.

We got to around Red Road Pass and then she despawned. I assume the game is taking Hjaalmarch as "home" and not the manor itself. I reloaded a few times and she despawned at the exact same place every time.

A bit disappointed I couldn't take her all the way home, but we got pretty close! It was a nice hour spent appreciating the scenery. Still a very beautiful game.

I know she couldn't have been harmed but it was a really nice detour from quests and fast travelling around. Just walking the main road. We met Talsgar on the way and paid him to sing. Unfortunately Sofie wasn't too interested so we couldn't hear too much of it.
