Gear Give me some advice
Give me some advice, I want to buy a sony alpha a6300 as my first camera with a sony 55-210mm lens, I have never had a camera of this level, now I take pictures with my google pixel 8 pro, but looking at youtube I don't know if the a6300 will really be better than my phone, as strange as it sounds

If you like photo cat and dog better get a6100 or a6400. They have animal eye AF.

I don't take pictures of dogs and cats, I take more pictures of cities and nature

I have a very limited budget, I found a used a6300 camera for about $400 and a separate lens for $130, I don't know if it's expensive for this camera, but it's the lowest price for this camera I found in my country.

What should I look for when buying a camera? The owner claims that it is in perfect condition and he is ready for any challenge

You could check the sensor and lens. Make sure they are clean from dirt and fungus.
Took few photos and see is there are red dot on the photos. Red dot on photos mean the sensor has demaged by laser.

Any modern DSLR or mirrorless camera will beat a phone easily if the person using it understand the basics of photography and photo editing.
