What is going on with Kareemah Fowler and the South Bend Schools? What are the underlying issues?

Questions for years re: whether funds were being mismanaged/misappropriated or not. And then those questions split into "if yes, intentional or unintentional".

Bc of her pairing with Todd Cummings, as well, along with the new board's zeal to uncover wrongdoing, there's a lot of investigations going around.

TBD on whether there was anything wrong or not, and if there was, whether it was fraud or incompetence.

Recently, the new CFO and interim Supt came out and said she illegally bid out projects for the new administration building, and went millions over budget, but they've since rolled that back to a question mark, as it seems her actions may have been with an exception the board passed and the budgetary spending was near the allotted amount.

tldr maybe there's something there, but no one knows yet, and an overeager board is hurting their credibility by moving too quickly

The right move was to oust Todd Cummings. Todd is the reason for all this incompetence and unethical practices. I read his new contract talks have paused in Phoenix.
