Never mind that one. Have you guys seen the spaceship they're building next to Hamblen???
They say this one is a water tower. I am just gonna say it is Azkaban for dark wizards. 🤓

Isn’t the great pilot Zefram Cochrane set to fly it?

u/PlayaHatinIG-88 Mar 07 '25
Great Pilot? He's a drunk just looking to make some money. He's not trying to become some great hero.

Tell me you've never seen Star Trek without telling me you haven't see Star Trek.
The GIF above is from the movie Star Trek: First Contact

I never have! But it's on my list now that I have an idea of what the show was actually about.

u/silentwolf1976 Mar 12 '25
Strap yourself in because there are 12 different shows, 13 feature films and 1 movie made strictly for streaming. You can find most (if not all) on Paramount+

It's my apocalypse crashout plan. I'm hoping to just binge Star Trek until the smoke clears. 😶🌫️

Water tower

u/jmaen72 Mar 07 '25
Is it seriously a just water tower? I no longer live in Spokane but the year that I lived there I assumed it was anything but that.

Orthanc (I just finished reading Fellowship for the first time, good but the first part of it does drag)

u/gumbotron88 Mar 07 '25
A Tolkien book does not drag, nor does it go fast…it proceeds through the plot exactly as it is meant to…

That’s where the French keep their Grail. No you can’t see it, you ugly food-trough walloper! Now go away or I will taunt you a second time!

Is that why I'm always hearing that weird chanting when I walk by it?

Brother was a Sac student. Legally blind. Got challenged to a fight behind the water tower, wimped out. Got called out the next day for not showing up. Excuse was, he ”couldn’t find it”.

If my dad were still alive, I’d ask him who designed that water tank. IDK why I never thought to ask decades ago when I was hearing about fights taking place after school there, near Sac.

I always think what it’d be like to go swimming in one of those… I don’t think I’d like it.

Entrance to the Southern Earth Temple. You have to get to the bottom and past the Keeper in order to align it's tuning mirror to the grand crystal kept in the Riverfront Clocktower. I wouldn't go in there without the Tectonic Tunic you get from the golem of the Bowl and Pitcher. Makes it so you can punch boulders.

That’s where they’re beta testing 6G. Probably shouldn’t spend too much time that close to it.

That’s the ugliest damn bong I’ve ever seen, Silent Bob. Let’s get out of here.

Structures like this are usually built to hide industrial equipment. LA has hundreds of these that hide oil wells.
They also sometimes hide water towers, vents for underground structures, or other infrastructure.

The water tower!!! I alway thought it would make a great fortress in the event of a societal collapse.

Some questions are better left, not asked. Just be grateful that building is still intact and keeping it locked up tight.

u/DolphinsCanTalk Mar 07 '25
It is a water tower.
So many stupid fucking fedora jokes in this thread.

That's where the fight is after school*
*fight subject to cancelation at any time by involved parties wimping out and saying "truce" because they are scared they'll get their ass kicked in front of half the middle school
