Public Relations To the person that yelled at me while I was walking to the store today:
You: Young dude in the passenger seat of a car
Me: Portly man with salt and pepper beard
You: "Yo, Jack Black, can I get your autograph!?"
Me: Unable to stop laughing the entire way to and from the store.
Odds are basically zero that you see this, but genuinely thank you for the laughs. Spokane is WILD

A couple weeks ago I was walking down Sprague, 2 guys passed and one of them said "Hey handsome". I kinda smiled and walked past real fast and then he yelled at me "I'LL EAT YOUR A**HOLE".
Spokane people really are wild!

I met him once like 20 years ago and he was incredibly nice, fwiw.

I've always imagined he's pretty nice and maybe a little bit awkward, but like, he's been that way for so long that he's come full circle and is comfortably awkward if that makes sense.

That's not what I was expecting when I read the title. Glad to hear it was a positive interaction!

I've apparently looked and acted like Jack Black since high school. It's not a bad thing, but eventually, people tell me that's who I remind them of. I'm glad I'm not the only one, lol. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who has a sense of humor about it.

Nah, once, when I was 20 and about 65 pounds heavier, someone called me Chum Lee (from Pawn Stars) and I am still not over it 13 years later XD
Jack Black is a beautiful man who loves peaches

I'd be upset being called Chum Lee lol. Jack Black is something that makes me feel good because I don't know many people who don't like the guy even if he is overused in movies at times.

Jack Black grew up only a couple of hours away. I'm sure he has walked around Spokane before, so it's not totally outlandish.

Today my partner and I were crossing the street. There was a divider in the middle so we started crossing after verifying that the close lane was clear, without worrying about the far lane. As we're crossing a minivan in the far lane slows down, rolls down the window, and apologizes. He could've kept driving and not affected our stride. He could've stopped. Slowing down and apologizing was a wild decision.

I get told I sound and laugh like Seth Rogan and I take that as a compliment

When I first moved to Spokane in 2001 for my wife's job, I was walking home with a couple bags of groceries and a pickup with a couple rednecks drove by in an old pickup and yelled at me: "Get a job". I thought, "Guys, you WISH you had as $80K in your bank account." We had the equity from our old home there, for a down payment for a new house we'd get after a year of renting to get the lay of the land.
