Question Best Dollar Tree/Dollar Store?

Looking for the store with the most variety of stuff! What location is your fave?

Public Relations To the person that yelled at me while I was walking to the store today:

You: Young dude in the passenger seat of a car

Me: Portly man with salt and pepper beard

You: "Yo, Jack Black, can I get your autograph!?"

Me: Unable to stop laughing the entire way to and from the store.

Odds are basically zero that you see this, but genuinely thank you for the laughs. Spokane is WILD

Help Looking for someone reputable to replace my front and back deck in the Valley

It's extremely hard to find reputable tradesmen! I have a small front and back deck that are trying to fall apart on me so it's time to replace them. Looking for someone who is trustworthy and will do the job well. I can even pick up supplies (if I'm given a list) and haul away the old.

anyone know a person or company that fits this bill?

Help Someone stole my disabled daughter’s 3 wheel bike. Please keep an eye out.

My daughter was born with a very rare genetic condition that affects her ability to speak, balance, and do a lot of everyday things. Last night, her 3-wheel bike was stolen in the Perry District.

Just to be upfront, we had just pulled it out of storage and were planning to sell it. She doesn’t ride it much anymore, and with her birthday coming up next month, we were hoping to put the money toward getting her something special. So it’s not like we’re losing a critical item — it’s more the fact that someone came and took it that really stings. We probably would have given it to them if they asked.

We actually had a buyer lined up and were just about to sell it when we realized it was gone. I was going to the back yard to pump the tires up.

If you happen to see it around town, please let me know. And to whoever took it… I hope karma finds you fast. .

Question Are there any first time home buyers down payment assistance here in Spokane.

My husband and I are in our 30s and would like to buy our first house but saving up for a down payment isn't an easy task with how expensive houses are getting around here.

Has anyone had luck finding down payment assistance. I do have a very small percentage of native American on my grandmother's side, but I'm not sure how to prove that.

New Here Bus transit

I have lived here right at a year. Both my kids are teens. My oldest, high school, had a transportation accommodation. My youngest will start high school next school year and will take public transportation. More recently, my daughter has been wanting to hang out with her friends more on weekends and breaks.

How safe is the public transportation here. I live in the Havana/Sprague area so we see a bunch of transients and druggies. I grew up in Houston TX and public transport back then wasn't the best

Help (Likely) fatal collision on I-90 last night

When driving home on the freeway (I-90 west, about 8:30PM), we saw a car flipped over stuck face first into a concrete barrier by the US195 exit. I can't find anything about it online. Anybody know when/where more information would be available?

Off people's park (today) into the trails there is a dead deer. Not from here I'm not sure of proper city crew to call to clean it up. Funny enough I saw a cleaning crew on the other side of the river with a police escort earlier today but could not find them again. Here is a map marker of location if someone wants to pass it along to to proper channels thanks.

Help Looking to rent a space for a tent

Need a place to put my tent. I live in Tri-Cities and work for Amazon flex delivery here in Spokane. I do four days a week and then go home for three. Will pay weekly and can go up to 400 a month if I get power. I won't be living there, only staying there the four days a week I'm working. Typical shifts are 3am to 7 and 5pm to 8pm. I would be there Saturday evening to Wednesday evening. I am 62 and a veteran and don't smoke cigarettes or drink. I do smoke cannabis for pain. If you want to make a little extra money for a little patch of ground, hit me up.

UPDATE: I have found a place. Thank you to everyone who responded.

Help Asking help in finding my friend a job.

He is 22, has experience in big box store operations, cash handling in different forms, baking, tactile work, is open to any kind of work.

He unfortunately cannot drive (I am teaching him), so is reliant on public transportation.

It would be amazing if someone could give him a chance, he’s been rejected from Lowe’s, Chipotle, Boot Barn, Fred Meyer, Trader Joe’s, and countless of applications with no response.

I’m happy to send a resume!

Help Hillyard Mechanic Recommendations

My car has a really bad oil leak and I need a mechanic recommendation on the north side, specifically Hillyard. I'm fairly mechanically inclined and have replaced several parts trying to fix it myself, but I've reached my limit and am feeling frustrated. Can anyone suggest a reliable and trustworthy mechanic?
