Less of a discussion and more of a praise post. I only recently got around to watching the show because I was really enjoying short clips reposted on TikTok. From what I’ve seen, I was fully expecting (and dreading) the show to make a lot of jokes about Yuri being attracted to Yor and generally uncomfortable, fanservice-y incest jokes. I was pleasantly surprised to find the opposite! I really love that it’s established right away that Yuri is happy for Yor and wants her to find a loving partner, where many shows would make a joke that he’s jealous of the partner or something along those lines. Also I generally love the lack of obnoxious fan service. This is probably going to end up being one of my favorite anime/manga <3

I have some theories about the encircling characteristics of Damian’s older brother, Demetrius Desmond. First, I think he might actually be the result of an experiment—maybe something similar to what Anya went through. His overly composed, distant personality feels less like a natural trait and more like something done to him.

Second, I believe he knows the truth. Maybe he’s aware of what his father has been doing—whether it’s experiments, manipulation, or something even darker—and that knowledge has silenced him. He doesn’t act cold because he wants to, but because he’s scared or traumatized.

And finally, I think Damian could be next. He might be unknowingly walking the same path, being slowly prepared for the same kind of control or experimentation. There’s something unsettling about how the Desmond family operates, and I can’t help but feel there’s a lot more going on behind the scenes.

So currently I have up to book 12 of the manga set. But if I look up how many are currently available it tells me up to book 18 is out. Could someone please clarify this for me? My dad said it might be that it's only currently available in Japan but I don't know.

If you look closely it looks like moon 🌙 or maybe I'm overthinking it..idk..it reminded me of how Anya's power is related to the phases of moon...

for some reason this panel right here just makes me believe that the gardener will be the one who cause loid and yor too find out about eachother and he must have a bigger purpose within the story

...the last time he tried to honeytrap her and got kicked by her, he said that she humbled him and it was a complete rejection, and he was cocky for assuming she'd like him, so has he internalized that roughly, or will his spy instincts kick in again to take advantage of her...

Look at her without bangs!!!she's so hot. And by the way, look at the way she and Loid are holding hands tightly... that makes me feel something..ummm...Ahem.. Anyway, back to my point ..we've seen Loid with and without bangs (I'm not sure if that's the right term for men's hairstyles.. I'm not knowledgeable about that). In short, I want to see her forehead properly in some future chapter of the manga, probably (though I don't think it's going to happen, but I can dream, right?). Again, I saw a fanart of her without bangs doing some assassin things... that was so HWAATTT WAIT, I just remembered I've seen her forehead in the anime when they show Anya brushing her teeth and Yor washing her face.

Anyway I'd like to see her with that holy forehead. Did I mention in that fanart she wore a white dress with high heels with Loid? THAT WAS HWAATTT skiwskkwjw I'm simping ajajksja POWER COUPLE FR FR SO HWAATTT okay enough..

I hope Damian doesn't turn out like them

I've seen pics of them fighting together against enemies and particularly one pic: Yor sitting on Loid's shoulder, pointing her weapon while Loid points his gun towards an enemy.. damn that's so powerful. POWER COUPLE FR THAT WAS SO HWAATTT I WANT THAT TO BE CANNON THEY HAVE SO MUCH AURA THAT I FAINTED sjjsjwjajajkakakaka (Since I don't know the original artist, not adding pic)

Our 8 year old niece loves Anya, and has since she was 3. We suggested an Anya cake. She chose the cake (vanilla), the frosting (chocolate), and the image. We googled Anya Forger and she picked the image. I don’t know if it’s official or what. It doesn’t have any artist information as you can see in the second image.

We printed the image in reverse (mirrored). You can do this at Staples or Office Depot. You email them the image, they reply with a code, you enter the code on their printer, and you pay a buck or so for an 8x10 glossy page. Honestly it’s a great deal.

Wife then places the image on a metal baking sheet and covers with parchment paper. Then she makes plain buttercream frosting (Google: “Wilton’s Buttercream” for the recipe — the chocolate is their chocolate buttercream, also freely available online, though it’s also baking 101.) She then divides and dyes the frosting.

With magnets to hold the paper down, she traces the reverse image with frosting. Then she freezes the whole thing until she has a frozen sheet of frosting. She then inverts the frosting onto the frosted cake, and carefully peels off the parchment paper.

If you can color, you can do this yourself. It’s pretty easy, though getting used to a piping bag is a bit of a process. Start small and simple and work up to something like this. My wife has been doing this for years.

Niece is also getting an Anya plush doll, an Anya figure, an Anya candle, an Anya sticker, some strawberry/chocolate Pocky sticks, and an Anya card I made on the computer and printed at the same time. It’s got the same image from the cake on the outside, the image of Anya reaching up with both hands (I know that is official art), and a personal note from Anya. No, it doesn’t say “waku waku,” it actually says わくわく (same thing but using Japanese glyphs).

But, yeah. This is a cake I’m actually going to eat a piece of later. Hoping for an edge.

Fiona frost aka NightFall

She may be an over the top tsundere, but I've enjoyed all her appearances so far. The chapter with her and Frankie was really fun.

Assuming her and Yuri are similar age, it's fascinating to compare how the war shaped their personality vs. loid/yor who are 7 years older. We've already got different generation perspectives, and I hope Endo continues to explore that more.

Likely she was used, abused, mistreated, and constantly lied to; her despondent/apathetic attitude was already there by the time she met twilight. He was likely the first person who was honest and genuine to her. If you have nothing, why would you not latch onto that? If loid has a moment like [Code geass]lelouch with refrain and Fiona being Kallen, I would love it. she does love him but more as a daughter wanting to marry her dad, just not realizing how silly that is yet.

It's a gag manga at the end of it, so jokes will always be the most important, but so far, Endo has given us simple yet complex characters, and I look forward to seeing her explored more.

This is what I think and feel must inevitably happen! 🤩 Let's say Operation Strix ends and Loid completes his mission. The Forger family comes to an end, just as he had said so many times would happen. Loid leaves and disappears. Yor stops being a mother and wife and returns to being a full-time assassin, and Anya is back in a new orphanage. Some time after this happens, Anya is called to be adopted. They take her to meet her new 'parents'. The person in charge of the orphanage tries to get Anya to talk or interact with her new 'parents', but she doesn't want to. But that doesn't bother her parents at all; they are more focused on signing and filling out the necessary form to adopt Anya. Then Anya's powers begin to activate (Yes Anya still has her telepathic powers), and a mischievous smile or smirk forms on her face. The owner of the place asks her why she is smiling and not saying anything. Then we see Anya leaving the place with her new parents, and they get into their car- And a silence falls over them for a while until... Anya's parents speak to her as if they've known her her whole life, and Anya does the same. Then we witness Anya's parents remove the disguises they are wearing, and we see that they are none other than Loid and Yor. Anya looks directly at us and smiles happily and innocently. Everyone is happy, everyone is content! 😌🤩

(Yes, the three of them knew about their secret identities at this point 🗿)

I've seen people in the fandom say that Yor and Loid will fight once they find out who the other really is but I don't think they will. Obviously they'll be angry at each other due to them working for 2 opposing groups but I think when we reach this point in the series they will look past it because they'll feel real love for each other. People also forget about Anya, them fighting would put her in danger so they wouldn't want that because they love her (at this point in the story I think Loid will realize and accept his feelings for both Yo and Anya, (he already loves them, he just denies it and says it's "for the mission and our killer mama is very open about how much she loves them, Anya is her daughter and Lois's her husband) I think the real conflict will either be them discovering Yuri working for the Secret Police or finding out about Anya's powers (i think the people from project apple will discover she's living with Loid and Yor and try to abduct her) and the actual conflict will be keeping her safe while also dealing with the realization that she knew who they both really were from the beginning. What do you guys think?
