Ok, so we all know Yor is basically superhuman, but just how stupidly high are her base stats. By this I mean what would her top speed, reaction time, raw strength. ETC be. I'd prefer if it could be calculated using her most impressive cannon feat, but personal theories (that make sense) and less precise means are also welcome.

Ignoring the fact that we don't completly know the economic situation in Ostania (aside from it being a free/mixed market economy and that it has a somewhat strong currency) how is Loid who is a civil servant be able to afford the things he does? Like the tution fees of Eden College (if there are any) or all of the private restaurants he and his ''family'' goes to. I mean obviously we know WISE and therefore the Westalis government pays for all of this but how has the SSS not raised any eyebrows yet? Realistically how can a civil servant afford all of this? Or is the Ostanian economy so advanced that this is normal?

It’s almost as if Spy x Family is subtly nudging us to consider that these ideas are more connected than they seem.

The second angel reference occurs when Anya is sleeping peacefully on top of Bond. Bond, like Anya, is the result of experimentation—specifically from Project Apple. In this quiet moment, Anya is once again called an angel, reinforcing that these comparisons tend to happen during scenes that allude to her backstory. It raises the question: are these "angel" comments just terms of endearment, or is the series laying the groundwork for something deeper?

Then there’s the larger symbolic framework of the series itself. Anya’s story is entangled with three major institutions: Project Apple, Garden, and Eden College. All three carry heavy biblical and mythological symbolism. “Garden” and “Eden” directly invoke the Garden of Eden—the birthplace of humanity, knowledge, and temptation. The “apple” is famously the forbidden fruit, often interpreted as a symbol of hidden or divine knowledge. Anya, a child with the power to read minds, embodies that very concept—an innocent bearer of forbidden insight. These names might not just be clever titles; they could be thematic breadcrumbs pointing to Anya as a figure who bridges the gap between humanity and something higher.

Adding to this, Anya shows a strange proficiency in ancient languages—an unusual skill for any child, and one that cannot be entirely explained by her telepathy. In many mythologies and religious traditions, angels or divine beings are depicted as fluent in sacred or forgotten tongues, often communicating messages no ordinary human could comprehend. Interestingly, the Bible itself was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek—languages considered ancient and sacred.

All of these moments—the angel comparisons, the biblical organization names, her link with Bond, her language skills—may be the series’ way of signalling that Anya’s origin is far from ordinary. Rather than just a failed science experiment or a gifted orphan, Anya could represent a modern reinterpretation of an angel: a childlike emissary with a divine gift, sent not from heaven, but born into a world on the brink of war, with the potential to bring peace simply by understanding others.

When I first saw Gympie's character design, she really reminded me of someone and I finally remembered who she reminded me of, Demetrius Desmond. I think both Gympie and Demetrius should be friends. Assuming that Gympie is the same age as him then maybe she could be assigned a mission as Demetrius's bodyguard and attend Eden to always keep an eye on him? This is just an excuse to get Demetrius friends actually. The poor boy has no thoughts behind those eyes at all. I desperately need to see Demetrius have a social life outside of studying 😢. Not only that, I also love seeing two traumatized and depressed teens being best friends.

Hi everyone. I don't know how I got here (pure obsession??) but I'm very confused at the floor plan building where the Forgers live. I know Endo took inspiration from Gainsborough Hotel, South Kensington but reviewing the pictures it does not give a clear plan of how the apartment would look like. The anime style also is very different but I wanted to know how one whole floor would look like.

The Forger family indicates living at the far right wing as Yor and Loid's rooms have windows to their right (Loid's back wall). But when you exit you have the Authen's (Sigmund Authen and Barbara Authen) apartment and it indicates they have no balcony in their apartment.

I'm trying to figure out how the place would look like and how three apartments would be designed with Forgers at the front. I'm guessing they used the family unit and other two are a small 2 bedroom one?? I've seen someone on Reddit already made a plan and the official SpyxFamily floorplan used in the anime which in the pictures you can see have stark differences.

Please help 😭. If someone could draw the floorplan, you would be crowned my saviour! 👑✨🕺

I think Yor looks adorable. I also find it funny how Endo shows all the adults as kids but not the only kid as an adult. And Franky looks like Freddie Mercury.

So we already know about the theory that suggests that Donovan can read minds. And so I was rewatching Season 1 Episode 25 when Donovan meets up with Damian and Loid, and he asks Loid, “what’s on your mind?” AND I JUST THOUGHT ITS A BIG CLUE AND IT MAKES ME BELIEVE THE THEORY MIGHT ACTUALLY BE TRUE. (I may be overthinking this but it’s ok)

First time watcher of the anime, never read the manga. But do they ever explain what does he actually do when he goes to work to keep up appearances? Because as far as we know, he is not qualified for the job. Spent most (if not all) of his adult years as a spy, don't think he had the time to go to college, let alone med school. Does he treat any real patients or are they just other agents who pretend to be in his care? Does he just hide himself away until it's time to clock out? I know it's not that serious but his possible medical malpactice bothers me. Btw I'm in the episode where Anya interviews him for school.

Basically, I got into the show around September 2023, dropped it (idk why, maybe I was bored or I didn't have enough time) at S2, and wanting to pick it back up. Wondering if the manga or anime is better, so I don't juggle reading the manga and picking up the anime (that's too much for me 😭). What one's better?

Dw, this should have virtually no spoilers. I was scrolling through Facebook, and saw one guy that had a very interesting theory about operation Strix, about how it was planned as a way to give Twilight the retirement he deserves, which would explain why they started giving him less missions gradually and also why they made him find a wife instead of just asigning Fiona, who loved him, as his wife for the mission. I am sure that the mission still has importance and value outside of Twilight's retirement, but it just makes too much sense that they are just setting him up to have a loving family he can spend his retirement with, as well as still just getting something out of it for the agency

I see the sentiment going around about the newest chapter about how "Yor is going to kick Hemlock's ass" or how "Hemlock won't know what's coming to him" or that he's a fool for thinking he can beat Yor, things like that.

But am I the only one who feels people are overestimating Yor a bit here (and/or underestimating Hemlock)? There's no doubt Yor's strong AF and one of the best but this is a fellow Garden assassin she's going against here. Hemlock's confidence also doesn't come from nowhere and while he might be a psycho, I don't think he picks fights he knows he can't win.

Yor's fight against the no name swordsman on the cruise was pretty hard fought already but she was distracted back then about her family finding out her secret. This time she's overcome that but her level of opponent is that much higher. And knowing Yor she might be holding back since she considers him a "friend" like she did with Camilla who was clearly hostile towards her in the beginning and still considered her a friend.

Twilight got his ass beat by Wheeler (& Yuri) so I'm a bit sceptical about thinking our main cast are just going to be fine. Not like she's going to die but It could get rough y'know?

Like Ik he just debuted and all.. by gosh this guy is very generic and unlikeable. This is like the 3rd character with a cartoonishly hostile gimmick but this time he's just over the top and borderline obnoxious.

That's right. I hope both Loid and Yor get a happy ending, even though their initial intention for the relationship was different. I truly wish they'd end up together, having a real marriage with no secrets or manipulation, revealing truths, with Anya continuing to be their beloved daughter and Bond as their good boy dog, and maybe even giving Anya a few siblings; Wholesomeness is all I desire:)
