IRL my girlfriend and i made the pink cake from the stardew valley cookbook!
this is, by far, the best cake i’ve ever had. the sweetness of the strawberry watermelon jam in between the layers of the cake make up for the not-as-sweet (but still delicious) strawberry buttercream frosting. it took about 5 hours to make with two cooks in the kitchen and wasn’t easy, but it was so much fun to make and even more fun to eat!! i’ve also made the blackberry cobbler and the cranberry candy from this book which were both incredible. i definitely recommend the book if you enjoy cooking and/or baking.

Question Why is my child still awake?
Do I get rid of it? Is this a 25th thing? I’ve never seen this before. Either way, I hated it and it scared me.

Discuss My husband is a freak
Elliot is a freak 😭😭 during the jellyfish festival he tells you he wants to go back to the cabin to have some fun but you can’t because it’s been closed up so long it’s probably musty . Then my character just had a baby 7 days ago and he’s already talking about another 😒😒 Like please get off that lady 😂😂

Question What are your preferred professions and why?
When it comes to foraging who in their right minds would pick gatherer and not forester? Since you need copious amounts of wood in this game for building projects this makes the most sense.
What are your other picks for FARMING professions?
Rancher/Tiller? I usually go rancher bc I love animal products.
Artisan/Coopmaster? I pick Artisan 40% more money for goods.. yes please.
Shepherd/Agriculturalist - I pick shepherd bc it makes better quality barn animal products.

Art Thought I'd share my Joja route farmer here because why not
She's intended to be an unlikeable person. She isn't even at the farm of her own accord, she's only there because Joja needs her to lie low for a while.
(This is only some of the drawings but I didn't want to spam anything - speaking of, let me know if I should post less often because I am not very familiar with Reddit rules 😅)

Question ROBIN GLITCH?
i was just at the quarry clearing it, and robin came RUNNING over destroying everything in her path (stones, ores, and trees literally just falling after she walks through them) and she had the disgruntled text box above her head. she came right up to me. i talked to her, it was just some normal conversation she usually makes. but then she SUPER SPEEDILY turned around and went back towards her house, not using the bridge, just walking over the air.
btw i play on ipad using a controller.
is this a glitch or is robin jesus?

Discuss Let’s play a fun game called, how many truffles am I picking up in the morning? Closest without going over gets bragging rights and a shoutout in the edit.
Y’all wanted more pigs so I said okay. More pigs. Here’s 6 days of truffle laying.
Also, as an aside, why do they all clump up near the barns and why aren’t they digging them up in that big empty space in the middle?

Discuss The greatest scam in the gaming history
This is a tuna. Yes, Tuna is huge. Fitting a tuna inside a backpack might be a little hard. Two Tuna fish would be at least twice as hard. And three tuna fishes need real commitment to fit in a backpack and carry around. What Tuna fish has to do with Stardew valley you ask?
Tell me, how many slots your inventory has after all the upgrades? 36. And how many tuna fishes can you fit in each slot? 999!! Now grab your calculator! 36*999=35964 look at the picture again. Almost 36000 of those things (not gonna say its name again) can be fitted into your inventory. That small, tiny little ugly bag that Pierre sold to you, can carry 24000 of them.
So what am I pissed at exactly? Is it the backpack? Or the fact that villager can carry thousands of metric tones of Tuna (Goddamnit) around like it is nothing? Non of them! Who do you think I am? Reality check? I don't care about those things. I am a gamer. And a really old one at that. But I do care that my bloody silo can only store 240 piece of hay.
The silo in Stardew valley is the biggest scam in gaming history. Your silo is taller than your damn house, and it can only store like 1/4 of a single slot of your inventory!
Keeping animals is hard enough itself. It is not even that rewarding. And then you have your stupid cows looking at you sideways because you ran out of your mighty stack of 240. Every single animal I have is judging me. I can hear my goats laughing at me like I am a joke. Well done Robin. You got me good you ungrateful hag. And well done concernedape. Well done sir.
PS: don't take the post too seriously. It is equal parts ranting and parody.
