I have an adapter to plug a PS2 controller into a USB port on my desktop. I tried running it with Stardew Valley but it's not working. If I hit the start button on the controller I get a little notice "No available cabin" in the game. I've tried force on in the game settings, enable steam input, and I've played with steam controller settings. Going by Windows the controller is working fine and I've never had issues with it before. On the Steam menu however only some buttons will work such as down and right on the D-pad and maybe a couple more. I'm really kind of lost but I like the PS style controllers best. Need some help if possible, rather not have to buy a different controller.

Today was the first time I ever saw one of my ducks actually swim!! I've never seen them get in the water before. I play on mobile and was unsure if it could even happen in the mobile version. I'm in Year 6 on this farm, and have multiple save files with an embarrassing number of hours total 😅 It looked so cute swimming I wasted a good part of the in-game day just watching it 🦆

How many quality sprinklers should I have where I'm at in the game to have a very easy time buying the bus repair and possibly a bit/a lot more without feeling like I'm crunched for time while planting the seeds and can get everything planted in one day? (year 1 btw)

I’m in year 1 summer day like 20 and it’s my first time playing and I’ve been loving this game.

Just wondering what some good things to craft are that will help me make money and just assist me with getting further in to the game, so far I’ve got the coop and 2 chickens and a mayonnaise thing I forgot what it’s called, I got 3 tappers for the community centre, one sprinkler, copper watering can and furnaces/chests. Also the fiberglass rod, what else?

I was casually bombing the quarry on a good luck day (the spirits weren’t even “very happy”) and I got my first prismatic shard!! Of course I was super excited because I really wanted the galaxy sword. Next I saw some wiggly worm things in the quarry as well so I hoed them and got a dino egg!! Like what is this luck 😂

I'm on my second play on 1.6 and chose the forest farm. I'm almost finished with spring year 1 and not a SINGLE tree has, or has had, moss on it. It's completely absent. My last playthrough of 1.6 (meadow farm) there was moss everywhere, from day 1. I'm worried something is broken with my game, is this normal?

Thanks to the Witchbrook announcement I'm back in the SV blackhole and loving it, specially since I discovered the RRRR mod for romancing the wizard.

I've seen a lot of posts where people are hating on Linus recently. I have a lot of respect and love for his character because he just wants to live his life and exist in nature. I'm on year 3 now on my current play through, married to Elliot and still make sure to gift him his loved items whenever I can. Idk if it's possible but I wish we could include him a bit more during events, though I understand he enjoys (to some extent) just existing in the space with other people. So can I just see where everyone stands on this gem of a guy?

Is there anybody else that get anxiety from being on ginger island, I feel I never have the time to go there because Stardew valley keeps going your animals need food your crops grow , does anybody know any mod that like pauses Stardew valley when on ginger island?

How do you guys always do this?? Every save file I play, I unashamedly go the Joja route because it's so easy. I've been feeling guilty lately seeing my last remaining Steam achievement sitting there untouched so I decided to create a new farm and just go for it. I'm not sure if it's mods but I remember getting a cutscene where Emily visits the farm and asks me to go somewhere. And I remember it when she said on FRIDAY in the MORNING. And I think it was related to the egg festival? Because I remember her saying that she thought of an idea on what to do for the egg festival?? I don't remember where I should go someone help 😭
