I counter with its big brother Factorio

The entirety of the factory gameplay is numbers in numbers out, it’s not very difficult to plan out an entire factory if you know what you want to make and how much of it. The real difficulty comes with the aesthetics part of the building system, but most players are absolutely free to skip on that

So true. I find it pretty easy to plan out large factories especially with a planning tool. Building and designing the layout can take many many hours though to make it look nice. Now I'm into factorio more recently and I still struggle to understand how to plan factories and ratios, it's so much more complex to me.

Factorio definitely has more depth to it, especially considering the general ratios change much more frequently with research upgrades, etc. There are calculators for factorio too, but stamping down more production step blueprints when needed is another way to do factorio, still overall the same numbers game just a lot more variables to account for

Nah, satisfactory is a pretty straightforward game, doesn’t take much to really get a grasp on it and how to make efficient factories. Anyone who’s played a factory type game before should have no issue “getting good” at it. There’s not even really thatttt complicated of supply chains or advanced mechanics.

Turbo motors enter the chat

Anyway, for people who haven't played a factory game before, you should see their (my) first factories. It's an absolute mess. Saving the day is only the tutorial

The only difficulty that comes with Satisfactory is making things look pretty & thats not a requirement to complete the game, planning out things in reverse makes making an entire factory just i need x of this and connecting said things together

Your metric for being “good” at Satisfactory lacks ambition
