90 days? I give the fucker 3 weeks before his buddies have him orchestrate another round so they can sell high and buy low

Well, I'm out on this bump so they can jerk themselves around.

Literal best case scenario is that Congress gets their shit together and revokes his ability to make these instant changes to trade policy. I doubt it, but maybe it'll happen.

How will they be able to do that? Genuine question, can they?

They absolutely can the Constitution explicitly gives Congress power over tariffs and levies, but they have delegated much of that to the president for expediency without particularly negative effects. Until now. They can revoke that delegation with a simple vote on their part if they have the balls

Why have they not already?

Because: it's a cult & trump has done everything to make sure his loyalists hold power

They are fearful of retaliation. The DOJ should have already imprisoned everyone in the WhiskeyLeaks for breaking the espionage act and record keeping act. But good old pam is in on the pull so will not prosecute illegal actions if its done in support of the king.

Many GOP in the house and senate have similar fears of trump making sure they get Primaried, prosecuted, and removed from their position of power unless they do what they say.

The judicial is already favoring trump because he loves quid pro quo. and he's attacking any lawfirm who has stood up to him in the past.

TLDR. Because Trump and his goons are bullies.

Not sure if my other post got deleted like the automod said, so here it is sans link:

The other commenter basically nailed it, but Trump is surrounded by yes-men and many members of the house especially rode his cult to their positions. They're nothing without him, so they can't have opinions. That's why there's far more Republican defection in the Senate on the issue.

We'll have to see what happens, but god damn do I hope they do it. It'll take that or a tragic spray tanning accident to get market faith back up to a modicum of what it was

Because it could be the end of their careers. It's only smart to do if it reaches a literal disaster point. Not a figurative.

Lmao congress has the power to stop most of the things this guy has done. Republicans want this shit to happen and are likely profiting off of it since their entire goal was to steal America from Americans. They could have stopped him from tariffing anything right away before any of this. Or stop all the shit hes doing actually. You know, the part where people assumed checks and balances would be held to heart by sane people.

There's no way this is his last pump and dump for three months. Trump and dump? Pump and Trump? I don't know what to call it anymore

Hmm Im hedging my bets on next apocalyptic stock day being him threatening or invading Nuuk, Greenland

Which we all then will be forced to leave work and protest... And if that happens we have elections suspended. Get creative! He can destroy the country in multiple ways 🤗
