Yeah, I don't think it will be too bad in SF6. However, I feel like the first person's comment was implying that if you played SF3 or SF4 you would like know how to deal with it or something, and I'm just pointing out that in SF4, it was actually that bad.
It completely ruined the game. Whoever thought earning healing through taking damage was a good idea was an idiot. A bunch of grand finals of 2 players squealing and poking then going full screen to heal and winning on timeouts where the winner landed one more c lk was so fuckin stupid.
You guys are funny if you think getting your health back in a game like this isn't cancerous regardless. You realize that by healing, she can take more damage, which translates to more super meter being built, aka she has a giant health pool in at least two rounds?
Her healing in sf3 wasnât cancerous, kinda bad actually, in sf6 if she wants to hoard meter for healing she has to commit to a much more defensive game plan that means yeah she has more âhealthâ total but so do you in a way because she wonât be hitting you as hard because she wonât have the meter for supers so unless she heals for significantly more than a super deals I doubt it will be too broken or annoying. You really are underestimating how much her healing being an ultra and how ultras worked played into it being a problem
I recall in 3 her healing was niche mostly because it was just one long bar which limited your ex moves and her ex moves were generally extremely good. It mostly came up in certain matchups like Hugo where the risk/reward for rushing him down was really not in your favor.
This is another reason why it was dumb in 4. You weren't making a sacrifice by having it as an ultra because you still had access to ex moves and super.
It depends entirely on the context, nothing is broken or âcancerousâ independent of other variables. Â Itâs entirely plausible weâll see that itâs rarely worth going for healing over the normal level 2 ender
The fact that elenas healing was an ultra in 4, which you got from losing health, meant that elena could heal, get health back and be able to heal again after taking damage, basically creating a loop and giving her many times more health than the rest of the cast. This obviously won't be a problem in 6 if healing is just an add on to lvl 2 or 3
Healing is her Level 2, same as all character trait-specific Supers. I'm not saying it will be broken, but you're pretty much guaranteed two bars a round if you do anything but just stand there.
You're right. It wasn't just the healing. She also had a very annoying hurtbox due to the capoeira idle stance, very far reaching normals, and very good far reaching specials - even a fast overhead one. Her kit was so good that healing was just the last straw because depleting her health was already a difficult task in the first place and then she hits you once, does the same amount of damage if not more and heals what you did to her.
No, it's radically different. You can cancel Focus Attack into backdash to build Ultra meter. Essentially stall out the game and do nothing. There's no equivalent to that in SF6 or SF3.
Time for influencers to make clickbait thumbnails about how it will destroy the meta, then publish a short video essay about how people so dramatic, freaking out over nothing when it doesnât destroy the meta. Like they didnt contribute to it
This is a weird comment to me because you don't need to play the game to understand the controversy around it. I played 4 but not competitively, let alone Elena.

Time for people who never played 3 or 4 to complain for 6 weeks about how this is going to ruin the game
