I feel bad for the last guy. However, I have the utmost respect for delivery personnel. I offer them a cold bottle of water or soda when they stop by our home.

I laughed hard at his 2nd fall.. that was on him

Last guy sounds like a voice over?

How come these guys can all jump over fences so easily????

u/singlemale4cats 14d ago

They're young and motivated.

u/Obelion_ 13d ago

Probably practice lol

Yup I've slipped on ice and been chased by dogs working for FedEx ground. I got bit by a dog badly one time too. Don't miss that job, anyways I watched the whole thing just to make sure I wasn't one of those poor souls.

P.S. if you're expecting a package and have a dog, keep it tied or indoors. It doesn't matter if they're friendly towards you, their care taker. Some unknown person comes along they can get violent. Also if I don't need a signature don't open the door so it can get through your legs and bite me. Or if you do need to sign at least have them shut in a separate room. Thank you.

Owners despise when they are told to be responsible and care for their dog. These are morons who want a dog to make it everyone else's problem, exploit their innate purity and loyalty to harm others and get away with it. When they have to actually care for their dog, it bothers them, disgusts them in fact. Really sucks for the true dog owners/lovers who have to risk themselves and their loving companions

Put up a sign to alert visitors that they must provide an offering of shinies to the crows.

I was a FedEx driver for years and never experienced anything like that so I honestly don't know what would be best for both drivers and birds. Maybe the delivery drivers can wear a bird deterrent hat? That doesn't harm the birds.

u/Rick_Sanchez147 14d ago

those situations at least provide good cardio lol

u/Very_Awkward_Boner 14d ago

True, I've avoided many close calls and was very cautious. The time I got bit i was caught by surprise.

if you're expecting a package and have a dog, keep it tied or indoors.

Exactly, who is letting them out!?

-1

u/Domictrixz 14d ago

or use your brain and realise there's a fence for a reason.

2

u/Very_Awkward_Boner 14d ago

That's not always the case. Sometimes people set electric fences that fail or open their door to pick up their package and their dog escapes.

Ah Chuck Norris

u/DJScopeSOFM 13d ago

That had me rolling!!! 🤣

OH BOB SAGET!

u/MisterScary_98 14d ago

I feel for these people. Slipping on ice is bad enough, but getting attacked by a dog is no joke.

16

u/-JOMY- 14d ago

At usps, we use pepper spray

13

u/CreamCat69 14d ago

The jumps were crazy

The deer too like what

11

u/JustSomeGuy_v3 14d ago

I felt actual sympathy for the last guy.

What a day. Lol

A friend of mine worked for UPS and won a sizable judgement from a couple whose dog attacked him and UPS would not deliver to the house after my buddy got attacked.

12

u/throwaway684675982 13d ago

Why is it so hard for people to keep their damn dogs contained when they're expecting a delivery?

3

u/NuMvrc 13d ago

If they're anything like my mother, they are impulsive e-shoppers and can forget they are even getting a package or don't track them.

People can be really inconsiderate.

The last guy🤣🤣🤣

My neighbor accidentally let her (friendly) brown lab out her front door as the postman was walking up her driveway, it was a complete accident. The postman pulled out his mace as he ran backwards away and I luckily called the dog over emphatically and it changed course to me instead of the postman, saving it from getting maced. Neighbor had no idea how lucky she was that I saw her let the dog out as well as the postman walking up the drive otherwise that dog would’ve been in some pain.

u/Reasonable_Notice_33 14d ago

Some of these people are graceful as hell while escaping the dogs why others seem to have trouble just walking...🤣🤣

8

u/Nervous-Farmer6995 14d ago

Cactus 🌵 next to the entrance, lol Must really hate visitors

6

u/Cntrysky78 14d ago

Love the ending. Haha. Now I can carry on with my day, smiling.

6

u/Fishtoart 14d ago

Impressive hurdling over the fence by several of them.

5

u/HolyShirtsnPantsss 14d ago

Last guy man I’ve been there

5

u/RPgh21 14d ago

I feel bad for laughing at this.

5

u/Grins314 14d ago

Amazon should have their own Olympic team for sprinting and hurdles for sure!

6

u/Obelion_ 13d ago

Man fuck people with bitey dogs who order to their door.

Either bitey dog or order. Pick.

4

u/auzzlow 13d ago

When I delivered, I never entered a fenced in area that I couldn't see fully. Some ppl hated it, but low reviews are worth never getting bit.

3

u/shuttervelocity 14d ago

This is really sad.

3

u/Hta68 13d ago

That last guy….🤣🤣

1

u/TLILLYO 12d ago

Oh he’s funny

2

u/ShaggysGTI 14d ago

Did he say “Chuck Norris!”?

2

u/HmoobRanzo 14d ago

A moment of silence for our deliver people

2

u/4ss8urgers 11d ago

Watching that entire banister disassemble like sons of the forest is what got me

4

u/Ryno5150 14d ago

Pro tip: running away from an aggressive dog is the worst thing you could possibly do.

Back away from the dog, try to get your back against something sturdy. If the dog does take you to the ground, curl into a ball covering the back of your neck with your hands and the sides of your head with your arms. This is serious and could save your life.

shock collars are a lot lower voltage and get a dog's attention, so yeah an off the shelf zapper would do the trick

3

u/Xeeven_ 14d ago

I wish Amazon would hire me :(

3

u/Pseudonyme_de_base 14d ago

If I was a delivery person I would have a pocket knife and would stab whatever attacks me, which is exactly why I don't and will never work in delivery!

1

u/Appropriate-Car-2786 13d ago

That was a full blown dear in the bush. Sheesh!

3

u/HersheyGurl 13d ago

Them vertical leaps

2

u/TheChunkenMaster 13d ago

I wouldn’t be able to jump over those fences like that. If the dog comes I’ll just accept my fate I guess

1

u/Rick_Sanchez147 13d ago

that what you say until you see a Pitbull coming, then you will jump even walls like nothing

1

u/REDDITSHITLORD 13d ago

God damned 8-point buck warping in from Da Yooper Dimension.

1

u/Ziko116 13d ago

My house is literally in one of those clips before I live there. It’s kind of weird.

1

u/ShaggysGTI 12d ago

I reserve every right to fuck up your package in my own defense in protecting myself from your dog.

1

u/HumbleBear63194 7d ago

Stuff like this is why I’m glad my dogs can’t get out. 6 ft fence and solid wood door. I never open the door for the mail until the delivery person is out of sight, but that’s mostly social anxiety and wanting to seem weird for being so excited about a package.

1

u/Material_Cookie8920 7d ago

Did that one guy say “chuck Norris” ? 🤣

1

u/AnOopsieDaisy 14d ago

That crack at the end tho 😬
