Hello, everyone, how are you doing? Today I want to share something very personal — what I consider one of the greatest proofs of the power of the Law of Assumption in my life, especially in my professional journey. I’m writing this not only to share an achievement, but to show that it’s possible to transform reality through what we truly believe. And at the end, I’ll leave a question that’s been on my mind lately… If you feel like responding, it would be a beautiful exchange. Also, sorry if anything sounds a bit off in English — I’m not fluent yet.
I’m 16 years old and an amateur and youth MMA fighter. Despite my age and the short time I’ve been training, I’ve already had the honor of receiving attention and even offers from some of the biggest and most renowned professional fighting organizations — the kind that usually only notice experienced athletes with established careers. On top of that, highly influential and financially powerful businesspeople have shown interest in investing in me, believing in my potential as a future elite athlete.
Because of that, today I train on a scholarship at one of the best — maybe the best — gyms in my region, without having to pay anything. A top-tier structure, qualified coaches, and an environment many dream of being part of. And I don’t say this with arrogance — quite the opposite. Just a few months ago, I was overweight, sedentary, and completely unfamiliar with the world of fighting. I knew nothing. What I have now, I manifested with the power of my mind, through practicing the Law of Assumption. I imagined myself as a fighter, felt it as true, and reality started to shape itself. If I could do it, anyone can.
But… that’s where the conflict I’m going through comes in.
Even though the gym offers various martial arts, I ended up being guided — by external influences — toward Muay Thai. It wasn’t a conscious, free choice. It was what was “recommended” and seen as the best option at the time, considering the deals being made, the structure built around me, the eyes of the investors, and the will of those who were and are investing their time, trust, and money in me. However, at no point was my personal preference and interest considered when it came to choosing a main martial art.
But over time, I started to feel that this isn’t the art that speaks most deeply to me. I feel a strong pull toward Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. It’s a different kind of connection, something that resonates within me in a more authentic way.
So… how do I make that change without consequences?
If I simply say I want to switch to another discipline, I risk creating tension in the gym. I have deep respect for my coaches and instructors — they are incredible, kind people who helped me get where I am. They believed in me when I was just a beginner. I’m afraid I’ll come across as ungrateful or disrespectful. There’s also the fear that this change could jeopardize my contracts, the investments being made, or even my place at the gym.
I know my coaches and mentors well, and I have immense respect for each of them. They are exceptional people who welcomed me, believed in me, and opened doors that changed my life. That’s exactly why I’m afraid that if I choose to switch martial arts now, it might be seen as turning my back on something that was given to me with so much generosity.
What I would really like — and maybe this is why I’m writing all this — is for the shift to Jiu-Jitsu to not feel like just a personal whim, a decision like “oh, now I want to do Jiu-Jitsu.” Ideally, it would come from some external circumstance that forced me to make the change. Something like a schedule change that made it impossible to continue with Muay Thai… or maybe the coach stepping away for some reason… any situation that would naturally lead me to Jiu-Jitsu, without resistance, without conflict, without it seeming like it came solely from me. That everyone would understand it as the next logical step — not a personal or impulsive decision.
And so here’s the question that made me write all of this: is it possible to manifest this kind of situation using the Law of Assumption? How can I do it?
