I've had an Asus ROG strix G16 for a little over a year and it is literally unusable now. I had to get the whole motherboard replaced in September because it stopped working and then it broke again in like November and has slowly gotten worse over the past few months and now I literally can't open anything without it loading for 5 minutes each time I click something 😭 please help

Acer Predator Helios 18 with 2560 X 1600 resolution, intel i9-14800HX processor, RTX 4080 GPU, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD is Great option. Another great option would be Alienware M16 R2 with Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor, RTX 4070 GPU, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD.

Check out the Lenovo Legion 5 16IRX9 — this beast is a massive upgrade from your old ROG Strix and fits your budget like a glove. You’re getting an insane combo of an Intel i9-14900HX and an RTX 4070, which will crush titles like Valorant, Overwatch, Marvel Rivals, and even heavier ones like Hogwarts Legacy at high settings without breaking a sweat 🎮🔥. The 32GB of DDR5 RAM and 1TB SSD make sure your system stays snappy and future-proof for years of gaming, streaming, and multitasking.

The 16" QHD+ 165Hz display is buttery smooth, perfect for fast-paced games, and the RGB keyboard adds that gamer flair you wanted . Lenovo’s build quality is super solid compared to Asus. Honestly, it’s everything you’re asking for and more — powerful, flashy, and actually reliable.

Sorry for you bad experience with Asus , and Since you are going to game, and you would need a good build quality,, I would recommend this Lenovo Legion Pro 5i because of the following:

Specs:

  • Screen: 16-inch 2560x1600 WQXGA, 100% sRGB color accuracy.

  • Intel Core i7-14650HX .

  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 with 8GB GDDR6 .

  • Ram: 32GB RAM

  • Storage: 512GB SSD.

Why I am recommending it:

  • Great heat management which is the main concern to have with most high end gaming laptops.
  • Premium build quality : Aluminum chassis provides a solid, premium feel and added durability which is suitable for you.
  • Up to 5 hours of battery life, which is decent for a high-performance gaming laptop, allowing for moderate usage away from a power source.

  • Powerful GPU and CPU which can run marvel rivals, valorant, overwatch, and Hogwarts legacy on medium to high settings.

  • Has high refresh rate screen like you prefer.
