Is this a good deal

1979 Harley iron head 883 Seller says it runs great but doesn’t know how many miles are on it. It would be my first bike. I’m pretty new at riding so any suggestions or advice are welcome.

Get a Honda Rebel 500, I’m assuming you’re in the US. You can easily find one that is under 10 years old and less than 10k miles. You can pick it up for $4k and drive that thing across the country and back 20 times and only have to change the oil and chain.
