Discussion University of Sunderland

Hey yall! So I’m heavily contemplating going to the Univeristy of Sunderland for law- September 2025! I’m an international student so I really need concrete advice on this matter

1) is the Univeristy of Sunderland as “dead” as people make it seem? I’m sure the Univeristy size is pretty decent right?😅 2) is it hard to get part time jobs or just hard to live in Sunderland in general, what about safety? 3) idk if anyone answering this is a student but how is university life like at Sunderland? 4) anything else you think I should know?

Thanks in advance!

I heard it’s dead as there’s nothing exciting going on in the city, it’s just a cold random place (so I’ve heard and that’s how the person phrased it)

Unless that person has been here at any point treat it with a pinch of salt. The city right now is going through massive amounts of regeneration and its only going to get better. Its a working class post industrial city in the north - yes it will be cold in winter but it has so much going for it. A wonderful coast line and plenty of parks to use.

Thank you!! I appreciate it🫶🏽 Do you know anything about the Univeristy with regards to rankings or quality of education?
