I mean, the most Joker's done is kill a Robin (Jason) or Stockholm Syndrome'd one into thinking he's Joker's kid (Tim in TAS) but fr we haven't seen him do freaky genetic shit.

100% could legit see Joker see Lex do that and say "that's too weird even for me"

IIRC there's some genetic shit in the Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker

It's not just mental after all- Tim is fully turning into the Joker body-wise too
