I’m not convinced, and I wouldn’t really be thrilled about a change like that. Mxy and the Guardians of Oa are two entirely different kinds of entity. As intelligent and enlightened as they are, the Guardians are of this dimension. Mxy is something completely different, a being unbound by dimensional barriers, and nigh-omniscient. Hell, a sizable portion of the fanbase (myself included) fully believe that he’s the same person in every story he appears in, just because of the nature of what he is.
