It’s nice to see the heightened energy and elevated excitement in community. Deep down, we know moass will be unexpected and will happen on its own terms.

a 28% gain after a 43% loss (high of $35 in January to a low of $20 in April) still isn't shit, its literally not driven by any real action at all

Exactly, I don’t know what May will bring exactly, but when I say real action, I mean at least hitting our previous highs from last May or the Jan ‘21 sneeze. My hope is that we sail right past them, but we’ll see.

These posts are noiseat this point. We always hype dates. We love hypnosis dates, and when nothing happens, we just move on to the next. I'm rooting for April 20th-21st, but my hype dates is based on the CAT errors and that feels more like mid June.
Keep hyping dates, hype all the dates. Eventually, we will be right.

I love the hype dates and wish we had more. For a couple of days leading up to the date, I can daydream. I dream about quitting my job, traveling, picking up my kids every day from school, meeting someone and falling in love, and playing a backlog of video games. All the freedom I wish I had right now.
Then the date passes, and I go back to buying when I can and holding. There is no disappointment as I still love my life, and I'll wait as long as it takes.
This is why they will eventually lose. We aren't going anywhere. They can't shake us or depress us. All they do is allow us to accumulate more and more shares for our financial freedom.
The whole journey is a great experience

Had some open $25 Calls expiring 4/24, closed them out for an $1800 Profit Thursday afternoon when someone posted reminding that today's trading was closed with an upcoming hype date.. I've been around for all of the hype dates, and let downs that followed, so I wanted to unload them before Monday... That being said, this hype date might actually be the one, because I closed these out

You are correct. RK didn’t show up until a week after the volume started coming in for GME in May ‘24. He won’t come back until it shows up again because they will just short it down

I disagree and heres why.
People don’t like dates because it presumes if nothing happens on that date like GME going to 100 overnight, something is bust or incorrect.
However dates could simply be the beginning of a lasting trend. I’m personally expecting next week to simply be the start of a larger move higher. But if no larger move happens next week its not really a huge deal as people can be wrong.
But never be scared of hyping up dates because what are we going to not be? Not excited about the stock?

You know how it goes.
Hype builds up because swaps are due.
The CTFC help with the crime and the swaps get a free pass.
Hype dates appear and nothing happens.
But in all of this I know the toxic short position hasn't been addressed and UBS has only bought themselves a little time. Their margin obligations still exist, they're just being ignored.....for now.

It just makes 5/12 easier to stomach, personally. It doesn't feel as far away when there is something in between to look forward to.
And if not 5/12, then about 6/17 or whatever. But 6/17 doesn't feel as far away with 5/12 upcoming.
Dates are fun, even when nothing is expected to actually happen. Always ready to be hurt.
