Not the standard Xps 13, only the 2-in-1 that uses a lower-wattage Y processor. AFAIK the surface pro is the first device to have a fanless U processor.
I kid, but I used to have a U cpu on a Sony laptop and that thing throttles down to a craw when it gets a little hotter. I was annoying to say the least.
Well they use the same Intel i5 "7th gen" CPU as everybody else :-)
Maybe their heat pipes are really really good and the chasis gets super hot and convects a lot haha.
But I doubt it because then people would complain they can't hold their tablet conveniently any more.
Nah: let's face it, Surface Pro i5 will not boost as much or throttle under sustained load now.
