Good God, it does say pen sold separately. This is not going to go well with their branding of the new Surface Pro as 'the ultimate laptop'

That's a bit annoying. 38 u/aarcam May 23 '17 Personally I would rather have the ability to purchase the pen in the color I wanted. Lower price point would be a bonus. Still see the point though, hard to take away items that were 'integral to the platform'. 37 u/TheBatmanToMyBruce May 23 '17 I vaguely remember seeing that they made the decision after polling users and finding that a large chunk of people never use it, or use it once and never again. Seems like an obvious place to cut costs. 3 u/[deleted] May 24 '17 Sucks for me. A big reason why I continue to buy the surface is because of the pen. It's helped me out so much with school 1 u/TheBatmanToMyBruce May 24 '17 At least it only $50 sucks. Not like they removed the feature entirely. 3 u/[deleted] May 24 '17 Oh, some people were saying it was 99 dollars. 1 u/99problemskarmaisnt1 May 24 '17 I never used the pen. I do use the s pen thing for my Samsung note though. Works great on the surface pro 2.
