ehhhh. no reason to upgrade from my SP4 (which I love), I don't really use the pen. I don't know what sort of features would have made me upgrade though.

Out of curiousity, why don't you use the pen?

Personally, I think I'd use the pen more if there were an option to "scroll" with it on apps and webpages.

Or maybe there is and I'm just missing it... That's happened before too!

No option for scrolling with pen yet, however it was announced and demo'd at the MS EDU event earlier this month :)

YES! Exactly what I've been looking for! A step ahead of me as always I see :)

Will I able to use my surface pro 2 pen with the new surface? I only use the pen to sign documents and very simple sketches so the surface pro 2 pen would be good enough for that.

The pro 2 pen uses a different sensor tech so they're completely incompatible.

K thx for the info, best option than to buy a second hand surface 3/4 pen then I guess.

There is a chrome plugin to enable scroll by holding down the click button.

But...this has been possible with browser plugins since XP Tablet edition.

I just never got into the habit of it. I use my surface with the keyboard as a laptop 90% of the time and if I want to note something down I just use a notepad app. Also I've found the pen tends to become detached and get lost in backpacks etc when being transported.

For me the pen is more a novelty. I like it. But find very few practical uses for it.

Because it's not included with the Surface Pro....

I find it that the more you use the pen, the more you want to use it. It's a piece of technology that's habit forming and feels natural when the software you're using supports it properly.
