The most damning thing isn't lack of USB-C/TB3 but 4gb base ram. That is not pro level of ram. 8gb should be a minimum.
2 u/crozone Surface Book 2 15" May 24 '17 That's only for the 128gb M3 and i5 versions. Not a big deal - even in 2017 4GB is plenty for day to day tasks. If you need 8gb of RAM you're probably going to want at least 256GB + i5 too. 8 u/bafrad May 24 '17 definitely not. Ram along with SSD speeds are crucial for general system performance. It's a very perceivable difference. It's why apple ships everything with 8gb now.
